I believe that the apparent introduction of Ninjas into the Star Wars universe is a step in the right direction. Who would you rather fight, Robin Hood with a lightsaber or a ninja? In a game, that is. For those fools who will deny that Jedi Academy...  [Read More]

For the record, I'm not a big fan of how the animations look in JO/JA either. Until saber movement is effectively independent of leg movement, saber combat will always be unrealistic and it will always look weird, simply because you have to constantl...  [Read More]

Actually, the old DOS versions of TIE Fighter had, by far the best music of any Star Wars game, simply because they had to use MIDI instrumentation. They coudn't rip John Williams' recordings and call it good, they got a couple guys to write a MIDI s...  [Read More]

I like saber throw, but like someone else said, the animations leave something to be desired. I would put up with a delay in the release if I could see a badass animation of my guy throwing the saber......  [Read More]

Well, I think you need to be able to move the object in three dimensions. You might want to levitate an object over a chasm or pick up an object from the other side, for example. Maybe the push and pull keys could draw the object away from or toward...  [Read More]

Great response...the thing I have against "good guys wear white" is that not only would it get annoying fast (which isn't necessarily a bad thing for a taunt), but it is something a clone trooper would never say, regardless of whether the w...  [Read More]

That doesn't sound like anything a clone trooper would say...IMO that taunt would get real annoying really fast, if that's the best you can get then just stick with "Hey, you there."...  [Read More]

Well, I'm sure there are decent voice actors around here that could record a taunt if necessary. In that one pic from the "If the movies played like JK2" thread the clones were spamming "Stop in the name of the Republic!" I don't...  [Read More]

Well, I'm glad to see people like my ideas...classes seem to be the main issue right now. I guess I just didn't factor in that people might want to be a Mon Cal medic or a Wookiee sniper, but it makes sense when I think about it. To be honest, it lo...  [Read More]

Thanks...as for the different races, I was just thinking about the 12 class system and what I would give the Rebels instead of Stormtroopers. Having a few special alien classes seemed to fit in nicely. I don't know, maybe I should rethink that. I was...  [Read More]

Okay, I'm new to this site, but ever since Jedi Outcast was announced I've had an itching in my head to do something with it. After playing Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat and other teamplay mods, I knew that what I wanted was a realistic squad-based i...  [Read More]

Artillery versus fortress depends on range upgrades...I get basically every applicable upgrade I can pay for, and some games my artillery outranges enemy fortresses and other games they don't, depending on if the other guy's gotten range upgrades....  [Read More]

Kurgan, thanks for the post about MotS...I really miss that game, I hope Siege mode lives up to it. I loved taking people out with the scope, or flushing out enemy scouts with the rail detonator. Bounty Hunter was pretty interesting too, even though...  [Read More]
