Even as a Jugg I had constant problems holding aggro, especially early on with no taunts. Even when you finally get them (1 single target, 1 AOE), the cooldowns are so long as to make them effectively a 1 shot use in most fights. I just gave up using...  [Read More]
The problem with companion healers, especially early on, is they are not really proper healers. Generally speaking, they won't heal you fast enough that you can just stand around forever waiting for mobs to keel over from DOTs. IMO, that sort of stra...  [Read More]
Lynk's Marauder is nigh on 50 and has finished both the class quest and all the planet side-quests up to Corellia and Astor has a Marauder in the 30s. Both should be able to offer some advice, although I am unsure as to which trees each has spec'd in...  [Read More]
Yeah I wouldn't be judging too much based on what you are seeing on Dromund Kaas. Long term that strategy isn't going to stay effective. As far as respecing goes, what are you planning on respecing to? All three Marauder trees are DPS, just slightl...  [Read More]
Endurance is a waste for Marauders. They can't spec into any sort of tank (only Juggs have the appropriate tree), so you'd be better off replacing all your gear with proper Strength-dominant stuff. Otherwise you'll just be gimping yourself. I can mak...  [Read More]

I posted some ramblings about my early experiences with the mirror class, Juggernaut, in this thread (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=209076). I struggled through to level 47 before finally parking him at the end of Voss, after I was stuc...  [Read More]

That's the same helmet I had before the current one. Think I bought it with commendations on Hoth from memory. I think it's part of the TH-15B War Medic armour set? If not then it's a reskin of the same model at least....  [Read More]

Lynk and I were discussing the new gear our respective characters just got and I figured it would be good to have a thread to post pics of it in. So if you have some swish new gear, this is the place to post it. I'll start off. Both my Mercenary and...  [Read More]

Hrmm, can't say I recall running into this issue. I have the game set to run borderless windowed (same as Lynk and snommism I presume) and my monitor brightness is set to 0. I do have all NPC nameplates enabled though - do you guys having visibility...  [Read More]

Bioware does seem to have an annoying penchant for fighting traitorous members of your own faction, so I wouldn't be surprised if Troopers got to fight "rogue" Jedi at some point, be it in the class storyline or in the factional planet side...  [Read More]

Bounty Hunters are even awesomer. By level 37 I have had the opportunity to forcibly disarm two people in cutscenes where they got the drop on me and demanded I surrender (hah!). One of which was a Jedi who I flipped over, pinned to the ground and th...  [Read More]

My BH finished Taris tonight and just landed on Quesh (level 37). To reiterate my earlier comment, Taris was a complete breeze, even hitting higher level mobs. By contrast, I recall my Juggernaut had more than a few rough patches during his sojourn t...  [Read More]

Social 1 should be about 75 pts from memory. You aren't going to ding that from any single heroic. You only get 2 pts per party member for lines you win the roll for, and 1 pt per line you don't. Even with a 4 man party, for most quests you'd be like...  [Read More]

At the very least, healing trees should have a passive ability you can spec that will reduce threat. I know the Sorcerer/Sage and Mercenary/Commando at the very least have such abilities in their respective healing trees. Again, not sure about Operat...  [Read More]

Depends on your class. Knights/Warriors have lightsaber forms and Troopers/Bounty Hunters have ammo/gas types. Not sure about Consulars/Inquisitors and Smugglers/Agents. Presumably they must have some sort of equivalent passive abilities....  [Read More]
