I would think the other tree and Ataru would be more suitable for general PVE (i.e. groups of trash mobs). Juyo and DOTs are really for single targets like Elites, as you say. Should be a useful build for heroics and Flashpoints....  [Read More]

Presumably the only time you'd not use Ion Gas Cylinder/Ion Cell is if you were spec'd into one of the DPS trees, in which case you'd be using one of the DPS cylinders/cells and a Generator instead. The same would apply for a Juggernaut/Guardian, swi...  [Read More]

Here is what I posted in the other thread - Sith Warrior/Jedi Knight lightsaber forms: Shii-Cho Form - Enter a balanced lightsaber form, increasing all damage dealt and reducing all damage received by 3%. This is the base stance all Sith Warri...  [Read More]

I'm not sure I agree with any of IGN's selections. I think it would be nice to have some non-combat locations where both factions intermix. Something along the lines of Voss-Ka on Voss, but with a healthy dose of espionage and intrigue thrown in. I...  [Read More]

Heh, yet they are exact copies of each other, with the exception that Corso (for some reason) kept the harpoon cable pulling mobs to him, when every other tank companion (including Kaliyo) got their equivalent skill changed to pull them to the mob. P...  [Read More]

Technically that would be Hutt space, not part of the Empire. The taxi from the starting cantina to Nem'ro's palace is the route I assume you are talking about? It does seem a tad extraneous, given that by the time you'd actually need to use it you...  [Read More]

I played a Sniper up to the end of Alderaan in beta (lvl 28/29) and have one currently at lvl 15 on Dromund Kaas. I think your average person will probably prefer Operative just because the cover system that is the core of Sniper play is a bit clunky...  [Read More]

I'm not sure if there is a distinct colour difference between purple and magenta crystals in the game, but you can get a magenta crystal without doing any Flashpoints/Operations or PVP. Does require several level 50s though. You go to Tatooine and ha...  [Read More]
Depending on how you want to go, it's possible to get to the top of one tree and still take several first tier abilities from the other two trees. My Jugg for instance is 35/2/4 (this (http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#101fMGMurrkuRZ0MZMM.1), if you...  [Read More]
Weapons don't have any inherent damage effects. That is determined by the skill used. As far as Force Charge goes, that should pretty much always be your opener. Any ability that lowers its cooldown and increases the amount of Rage it generates shou...  [Read More]

I haven't had a chance to play a Vanguard/Powertech as yet, but from what I have read and my personal experience playing a Juggernaut, yeah I'd also suggest going for a Vanguard over a Guardian if you are interested in playing a tank....  [Read More]

Where did you get the set?? Can you please tell me?As I said in the first post, it's the Ancient Paragon set. It's intended for around levels 46-48 or so. You can get various pieces from commendation vendors plus random loot drops, or off the GTN. As...  [Read More]

You probably need to ask the person directly, as there is a lot of ground covered by what people consider RPing. At this point in TOR, I would suggest the likelihood that it involves a group of like-minded individuals standing around using ye olde fa...  [Read More]

No, it has nothing to do with gifts. The icon comes and goes even if you stand there doing nothing. It's just borked. Like I said, just right click on them and they'll tell you if they want to talk or not. By the way, a good portion of the conversat...  [Read More]

The easiest way to tell if they want to talk is just to right click on them. If they want to talk to you they will give you a line of dialogue that indicates as much, usually something along the lines of "Let's talk when we get back to the ship&...  [Read More]

The worst offenders (in terms of quest objectives) for this IMO are the AA guns and rebel supplies (ammo stores, fuel dumps, etc) on Balmorra (Empire version). They take ages to respawn and you will absolutely be ninja'd for these without fail during...  [Read More]
