"No we are not young one." Andors reached out with his senses. He could sense Mortis and something, a presence not felt since...He broke it off to ask, "Where do we go now?"

"It's difficult for me to say. All I remember of this place is the detention level, the torture chamber, and the main hangar." Komad replied. Then, a Sith Shuttle docked in the abandoned hangar with them, and Hethra and Alkonium stepped out. "I take it you had something to do with that ship lodged in the superlaser?" Komad humourously inquired. "Maybe." Hethra replied. "Oh yes, and you're a grandfather now." Komad told his father. "We named her Kalla." "Hold on. I sense something, something I have not felt since..." Hethra said out loud. I thought I killed her decades ago. How can she be here? He then said to Andros through the Force.

Andros looked sadly at Hethra. He hadn't intended to tell him under these conditions but then he remembered that Miklos once told him that no time is the best. Taking a breath, he began, "Well..."
They were interrupted when a female voice broke through, "You did kill me Hethra. So you thought. Unfortunately I couldn't tell you the truth." A women stepped into the light with blue grey eyes. Unlike Andros, she looked as how she did when she was twenty. She stood dressed in the traditonal garb of the Avalonian Jedi.
Andros nearly winced at the sight and the emotions that began to course through Hethra. He sent, Old friend. If you wish me to explain...

Joe pulled himself out of the ship and saw a group of Jedi talking seriously and some even seemed to be amazed. He didn't want to interupt so just stared on. He recognised a few possibly one as Hefela and Kotad. He wasn't sure.

"You betrayed Avalon, you betrayed the Republic, and you betrayed me. What do you want now?" Hethra asked, his feelings for her clearly extinguished. "What I still don't know is why you did it. I warned you that after you gave the Droids what they wanted, they would kill you and continue their conquest, but you didn't listen."

"I did listen Hethra," Almalexia replied. Her blue grey eyes looked like an ocean with a lulling calm but they held sadness. "I never betrayed the Republic or Avalon. As a warrior I am bound by the ancient oaths." She was near tears.
Andros couldn't stand to see her cry. She had suffered too many years alone and he knew why. He spoke up, "She did what my mother did after she left me in the care of friends when I was four. She joined yes but she had no intention of doing any of their biding."
Almalexia was surprised at the support from Andros. Still she knew she had to answer for herself, "The plan was that I would appear to defect. It would allow me then to move freely throughout the galaxy and search." She paused to study the look on Hethra's face, the face she loved and longed to touch. She then continued, "I didn't want to hurt you but it had to appear that way."
"I won't deny it but I knew that there was something else out there besides the Droid war," Andros added. There were times he cursed his gifts for it pained him when he saw the things he saw. "Someone needed to be able to move within the shadows and seek it out."

"You were right. And for the past twenty-four years, it's been out here, not out there. Are you aware that the codes you supplied the Droids with resulted in the Vice Chair being taken hostage? As much as I missed you, it's still difficult to just shake off twenty-seven years of feeling betrayed. I still love you, though." Hethra replied. "Where do you stand in relation to Mortis?"

"Yes, I knew what giving them the codes would mean," Almalexia replied saddened yet hopeful, "A test of good faith had to be done. What they didn't realize that it was a failsafe to connect to the Jedi on Avalon. Specifically Princess Leviah and the warrior brothers Erron and Eriae."
"My siblings," Andros supplied helpfully.
"Yes. They will be arriving shortly." Almalexia looked at her audience with an intense look. "As to where I stand with Mortis, she thinks of me as an apprentice." When she said this, she could tell that there were certain looks of distrust. With Hethra she projected, Twenty-seven years is a long time my love. I couldn't bear myself with the things I had to witness under Mortis.
Andros knew the situation was precarious. He admitted a bold truth, "Believe me if there were another way, I would have disappeared myself."
"But Andros is too powerful within the Force. Mortis would have smelled a womprat," Almalexia interrupted.

How can she consider you her apprentice? She was a Jedi Padawan on Coruscant eight years ago. Hethra asked. She is more foolish than I thought. "Where is she in here then?" He then asked her vocally.

She has little respect for Avalonians and because I had never shown an inclination in the Force, she assumed I was rather weak, came the reply as Almalexia voiced, "She will be up on the main observation deck. She likes to watch the path of her destruction." She spat it out as if it were something vile. "I will show you the way."

"I will wait here for the landing party," Andros replied. It came as a surprise but he maintained a steady calm that Almalexia recognized he was up to something.Too long there had been a traitor in their midst and Andros was going to end it. He gave the reason, "Orders need to be given."

"I'm coming with you. I have a score to settle with Mortis. I'm the reason she's a Sith, so I should be the one to put an end to her reign of terror." Komad spoke up.
"Komad, isn't it more important that you make it home safely to your wife and daughter?" Hethra asked him.
"If it wasn't for me, Andros would not be here, and I did not come all this way to be sent back." Komad replied.
"Very well. I do not wish to be the bearer of bad news to Greea, and I hope it will not come to that." Hethra agreed to let Komad join them.

"I would have come anyway. The time was ripe but we have spoken too long. Follow Almalexia," Andros spoke. He watched as they made their way to the lifts. He sent to Almalexia He had always been the traitor. We had to catch him in the act, especially with what he had done to the young ones.

Alamalexia nodded at Andros insistence and led the way to find Mortis. She heard Andros' message but couldn't help but ask Will they be alright?

They are stronger than they look. May the Force be with you.

Leaving Andros behind, the group made their way up the many levels. Almalexia looked at Hethra. There were so many things left unsaid and things that her heart yearned to pour out. It all came out in one question, "Do you bear me ill will?"

"How could I? Until now, I thought you were dead, and death should be the end of a person's suffering. If I did, that would mean I wanted you to suffer more. Even in the moment I thought I ended your life, I loved you, and it hurt me as much as it hurt you." Hethra replied. This talk of love made Komad nervous, not about his marriage, but of the daunting confrontation with Darth Mortis. When they were dating, he thought himself to be in love with her, even though she was arrogant, stubborn and unable to see past the surface. He doubted Mortis would see the error in her ways, but he had to try.

Joe seemed to think they had calmed down a little with there lovey-dove talk. With his wife dieing he didn't like to hear about things as such. The group looked like they were about to split up so he intervened.

"Hi I'm Joe! I'm here to help, I don't know what I can do but I'm armed, you probably don't remember me and er... are you Hefera?" he said with a big smile across his face pointing at the man he addressed.

Joe was armed with Blaster Pistols, Smoke Grenades, Time Bombs and vibroblades.

The alarm went off before a huge group of Sith Storm Troopers began to flood the hanger bay from different directions. "Die Jedi scum!" Called one as he and the other's opened fire on the group of Jedi knights. At the same time the self destruct sequence was activated from the bridge. The Jedi Knights have ten minutes to reach the bridge and deactivated it before the Death Star blows up and takes Coruscant with it.

"Oh really?" Joe said his grin turning to had a scowl. "Your not telling me what to do, I've done pretty crap for this war and i'm going to do something good for once in my life!" With that Joe shot down two Stormtroopers and threw several smoke grenades blinding them. He also quickly placed a low-power time bomb and was stopped to see the devastion. Joe waited to see where the two were to head now he would still help them even if they won't talk to him.

Maybe when this is over..., Almalexia left the thought hanging. It was the naure of her generosity in that she was allowing Hethra to say yes or no. She had hurt him and she wanted to make it right but it was up to him and she was willing to live with the pain for the rest of her days if necessary. She noticed the uncomfortable looks of Komad and recognized the face of guilt. She was brought down to earth when she sensed something. Cocking her head, she realized what Mortis had done and they had very little time. She voiced aloud, "Follow me. I know a quicker way to the bridge."

Andros waited patiently in the hangar, pacing as if in deep thought. He did not have to wait for long when a shuttle appeared in the docking bay. He could make out his son piloting and his daughter co-piloting. Where the other was, he had no clue but suspected where. He watched as the ramp lowered, his hand moved to his side.

Alkea was on the deck of the lead destroyer. She had arrived as Andros had intended with sips of the fleet. She gazed out the deck of the bridge and watched as strange looking fighters emerged from behind. She had seen that design before; it was like what Andros had piloted and wondered if it were the Avalonians attacking. Her fears had no basis for out of hyperspace came a fleet of more Avalonian fighters but they were different, almost like new. A voice came over the comm, "This is Commander Erron of the Avalonian fleet. I am under orders to aid the Republic."
"I welcome your assistance. Break formation and advance attack pattern delta."
"Roger that."
Reyvan heard over the comm in his fighter and asked, "Where do you want position Alkea?"
"Evasive maneuvers and your squad move in for close range attack," Alkea replied. It was a safer move to use for she didn't want anything to happen to Reyvan. She still remembered the kiss and it made her heart fluttered.

Andros watched as Malek walked down the ramp of the shuttle. He said, "You almost had them fooled didn't you?"
"I would have had you as well but you manipulated the situation as you always do," Malek replied, his eyes glinting.
"I knew that young Komad would have lopped off your head the minute he walked into my house. You made his sister into a doubting one though I think that is wearing off. And you betrayed our people," Andros replied. He hadn't moved from his spot until Malek did to circle with him.
"Betrayal? No I made you all see that there is no light and there is no dark, only the Force. The Force is nothing but power."
"Only someone dedicated to the Sith arts would say that. Even that Jedi witch that haunted Kirabaros was one," Andros replied gently but firmly. He had been watching for Malek for quite some time. That was why Almalexia disappeared, or killed by Hethra. She could get into places that he couldn't simply because of the power he wielded. A gift from his mother so to speak. "You sold your soul to aid those that were cast out for wanting to dominate the galaxy."
"What good is having power if you aren't going to use it?" Malek snarled back, his hand held aways from his waist.
"Great power requires responsibility, something I fear you never learned, sangtahut," Andros replied calmly. It was the last thing he said for Malek charged at him with his lightsaber drawn. Andros reacted by igniting the lightsaber that had become his through his mother. The bronzium blade glowed like a draigon's eye as he countered the charge and began to parry and strike with Malek.

Almalexia had sensed it coming and realized what Andros was doing. She said again, "We need to hurry. Just through these doors is the secret lift. It will take us to the bridge."

"Good, let's go that way." Hethra replied and the three of them entered the passageway to the lift. When they arrived, Komad activated his lightsabers immediately and pointed them both at Mortis. "Mortis, it ends here!" he exclaimed. "I've been waiting for you Komad. We meet again at last; the circle is now comlete." Darth Mortis replied, activating her lightsaber.

While Joe was busying himself with blasting away what he could of Stormtroopers the ones he wished to aid were off in the lift and he had to wait for the next.

"Come on, come on." The lift was taking a while but then it opened.
"Which floor, which floor?" he muttered. He'd have to scan each one. He entered the lift.

Andros clashed his blade against Malek's with a surprising amount of strength despite his years. He maintained a fierce look of concentration as he blocked a strike, forcing his to lock with Malek's. He pushed as Malek did and they struggled. Malek said, "You are beaten. Mortis will have her way with everyone there. Why not join us and you can make things the way you want them to be?"
"I think not. If there was anything I valued more than my family, it was free will," Andros replied before using his powers to pushe Malek away.

Almalexia watched as Komad sprung to meet Mortis. Her reaction was to protect Komad. With a jump she landed in front of Komad with her blade drawn. It wasn't a lightsaber but one of the prized Avalonian blades. It gleamed in the light and almost seemed to sing as she pointed it at Komad, "Don't do this."

"And why not? This has to end." Komad said to her.
"He is right. I need to fight him as much as he needs to fight me." Mortis added.
Let them fight, it will distract Mortis long enough for us to deactivate the autodestruct, and move the Death Star out far enough that the blast radius does not hit Coruscant. Hethra said to Almalexia.

Almalexia kept her blade still pointed at Komad. She knew Hethra was right but he didn't know what Mortis had done to her before she 'joined' the Sith. Glancing at Hethra, she gave a sad little look. At Komad she looked grim but her thoughts said something else, I'll help you. It is not just you.
Then as quick as a flash, she whirled on her heel to strike at Mortis who had her lightsaber ready.

Mortis parried the blow. "Step aside traitor. This is between myself, and the halfbreed." She said to Almalexia. "You never saw past that with me, did you? That was the only thing that drew you to me in the first place, wasn't it?" Komad asked. "I did, what little there was to see. You never cared about me, did you?" Mortis replied. "I did, but I could never betray the Jedi. Loyalty is more important to me than power." Komad answered her. "Master Iazoki, did you really think you could try to deactivate the auto-destruct sequence without me noticing?" Mortis asked Hethra. "Think? Try? You underestimate me." Hethra responded. Mortis then looked at a display screen, which said "Auto Destruct Sequence Aborted" in plain Aurabesh.

Almalexia didn't stand aside. Instead she retorted, "It is as much as my affair as it is his. Did you really think you had any hold over me? The Emperor made that mistake with Ashira-Li." Her blade twirled high, ready to strike.

Andros was dancing, at least how others would see it when he fought with a lightsaber. Another gift from his mother, her grace and agility. His bluntness and loyalty came from his father, as well as the good looks. He blocked Malek's advances with ease, almost toying with him. Malek was getting angrier by the minute but he wasn't going to let that stop him. He then feinted a move and as he figured Andros would do, he avoided the block and gave a burning pierce to Andros' arm. His shock was that Andros didn't cry out but grimaced and backed away. He hid it as he addressed him, "You are a hide bound relic Starlighter. You always thought you knew what was best. Now you will pay for your arrogance," and he set forth to charge.

Mortis immediately struck Almalexia with Force Lightning. "Don't make me kill you." She told her. Komad then blocked as much of the Lightning as he could. "Don't make her kill you." He said to her. Mortis then attempted to strike Komad, but he managed to parry the attack.

Almalexia felt it and it hurt. It felt like it was burning inside and out. She slowly stood up after being knocked to the ground. She reached back as Komad parried the attack and with everything she could muster, she shot back at Mortis a wave that felt like the yearly winds that came with the storms on Aztlan. She replied, "Make you kill me? You are a pathetic Sith."

"A pathetic Sith? You are nothing compared to me." Mortis replied after regaining her footing. Komad then Force pushed her back down. "It's over Mortis. You're beaten and outnumbered." He said to her. "Over? Me beaten? I think not." Mortis replied, Force Throwing Komad through an open door, and leaping through after him. She then attempted to swing, but locked blades with Komad, who then pushed her into the controls to the door. On the other side, Hethra tried to open the door. "It's locked from the other side, and reinforced with Phrik, I can't unlock it." He said to Almalexia.

"I'll find another way," Almalexia replied. She had to know what would become of Mortis. She started to to tell Hethra to finish disabling the station when she felt a tug on her arm.

The battle in space raged on as Alkea determined which way to send her troops. The enemy vessels were good but were outmatched by sheer determination and the skill of her troops and the Avalonian troops. She was concentrating on the battle when she felt and pulse through the Force. It was the familiar pulsing of her brother. Instinctively, she reached out and called to him, Hang tight brother. Let them make the first move.

Komad looked at his surroundings. He seemed to be on a bridge over a deep, cylindrical shaft. Mortis then took another swing at him, but he jumped out of the way. "Killing me won't solve anything!" He yelled out at her. "It will help me claim my revenge." Mortis replied. "Revenge? Revenge won't bring your parents back! Revenge won't bring me back to you! Revenge won't get you back into the Jedi Order!" Komad said to her. "You lose more than you gain." Mortis continued to attack Komad. "I have to do this." She replied, tears starting to form in her eyes. "No, you don't." Komad told her, calming himself down as he said it. Mortis then deactivated her lightsaber, and got down on her knees. Komad tried to comfort her, at which point, she pulled a datapad out of her pocket and handed it to him. "Take this. It contains the access codes so you can safely destroy this station." She told him, getting back on her feet.
Outside the shaft, Hethra and Almalexia noticed a Republic Star Destroyer attacking the Death Star. Hethra opened up a channel. "This is Jedi Master Hethra Iazoki to the Captain of the Star Destroyer Champion; hold your fire, were are in control of the station." He sent out to the Star Destroyer.
Back in the shaft, Komad was holding on to Mortis, who now hung above the shaft, having fallen from the bridge during the attack. "Hang on, I can get you out of this." Komad said to her. "I don't know if I can." Mortis replied. Komad held her tight with his mechanical hand, but the strain was too great, and his mechanical hand broke apart, causing Mortis to fall to her death. "No!" Komad shouted out.

"This is the General of the Star Destroyer Champion," Alkea replied, "We read you loud and clear. Be advised that enemy fighters are around."

Andros was still battling Malek. Even though his shoulder pained him, he wouldn't give in. He didn't like it that his children have to watch but this was a battle he had to fight, even if it was his last. He blocked the barrage of strikes that Malek laid on him. Concentrating too hard, he didn't see Malek shift until he was on his back and his lightsaber had flown from his hand. Malek stood pointing his saber at him with an evil grin on his face. "Now I am free to kill you," he said and raise his blade high.
It didn't strike his target however for it was blocked by a yellow saber blade. It's owner was none other than Tulre. His eyes flashed a blue green hue with a dangerous glint in them.
Malek was rather impressed at the reflexes but even more pleased that the boy decided to join in. He said, "Rather foolish of you boy."
"You'll find I'm full of surprises," Tulre replied and knocked Malek's blade away. He began the fray between them by swinging until Malek managed to lock his blade.
"Surely you do not think tat you can win against me?"
"Depends on how far you are willing to take it," Tulre retorted.
"Brave and foolish," Malek pushed Tulre away and tried to strike but was held back by another blade, a veridian colored one.
"Maybe so but two is better than one," Jun-la replied.
"Twice the pride. Double the fall," and Malek swung, eager to take on two young Jedi.

Komad opened the door, at which point Hethra tried to ask him what happened, but he answered before he could finish. "Mortis is dead, but before she died, I managed to reason with her, and she gave me the access codes so we can finish this." He told them. He then sent a message to the Champion. "This is Jedi Master Komad Kaltas. We're going to move the Death Star to a safe distance away from the system and then set it to self-destruct." He told them.
"Not if I have anything to say about it, Tyrannus." Alkonium said, activating his lightsaber, its blue glow mixing with the glow of the other lightsabers already active.

Andros managed to get to his feet and summon his lightsaber. Reigniting it he stepped forward and said, "No." He gave a gentle push that sent his children and Alkonium away." He then stood between them and Malek with his blade raised. He then said to Malek, "You will fight only me. It is me you desire not them."
"You're right," Malek replied smiling. He then lifted a huge cargo container and set it down with a large thump between them and the other three Jedi. "Now perhaps I can finish you in peace.

The Death Star then jumped into hyperspace, thus eliminating any serious threat to Coruscant. "This looks like a good spot. It's out of the way, and there are no inhabited planets in this system." Tulre was already on board warming up the engines. He would wait until everyone was on board.

Andros raised his head for a moment as if he heard something. He then turned and grinned at Malek, "You have one last chance Malek, turn from your ways or be destroyed."
"And be a slave to your pathetic ideals? I would rather die," and Malek charged.

The disturbance didn't distract Malek in the least. He continued the charge and landed a good blow that was stopped by Andros' blade. Andros called out, "Just get on." It came out gritted as he struggled.

"In that case, does it really matter who wins this petty squabble? You'll both die anyway." Alkonium replied cynically, walking back to the landing craft he arrived in.
When the three Jedi arrived in the hangar, they decided to part ways. "I'll see you back on Coruscant." Hethra said to Almalexia, kissing her on the lips for the first time in twenty-seven years. Almalexia was moved by the kiss that Hethra gave her but realized that this was no time to be standing around. So she ran up the ramp of the shuttle and the twins took off.

Seeing that his friends and family were safely away, Andros took a turn for the agressive in his fighting. It startled Malek so that he lost his concentration. He regained it by reurning the favor and landed another glancing blow on Andros' arm. "Kill will you? I guess not," and raised his blade.

By sheer will alone, Andros retaliated by sending Malek flying over the edge and down a chute. Wasting no time, he ambled to the fighter and started the engines. Debris started coming down as he started the lift off. He wasn't sure if he was going to be able to get enouh speed but he was going to try Force willing.

Alkea saw the trouble the station was in and the fighters and shuttles coing out. She said to the fighters, "Everyone pull back. Return to base.' Then switching to her brother's frequency, she said, "Brother, have everyone dock on the ship. Then we can get out of here."

"Roger that, beginning dock," the commander of the Avalonian ships responded before sending the rest of his squardons onto the large capitol ships of the Avalonian fleet. They would follow the Champion.

I think you are right, Almalexia sent, Still I sense that someone close to you is glad for another person.

Alkea waited until her second signaled that everyone was in. She gave the order to pull away as fast as they could. She stared at the station as it started to fall apart. She muttered to no one in particular, "At what cost have we achieved this? Where is Master Starlighter?"

"He told me to leave without him. I don't think he made it out of there. I'm sorry." Alkonium said to her, already onboard the Champion.

Do you sense that? Mortis may be dead, but I'm not too sure this is over. Hethra sent to Komad and Almalexia.

Under Alkea's orders, the Champion pulled away far enough to allow for the Death Star to explode. It was a bright ball of light that scattered into little bits of light like the stars. Out of the explosion came a single ship, a fighter moving at high speed. Alkea wondered who it was when the comm system crackled. Then a familiar voice came through, "You thought I would miss this party?"

Almalexia had heard the entire transmission and said to Hethra, "You knew he would make it?"

(@JM12: Is this guy supposed to be Andros or Tyrannus?)
"No, I didn't. I sensed someone else." Hethra replied.
Was this how Luke Skywalker felt when the second Death Star was destroyed? This feels bittersweet, as if some could have been saved who were not. Komad thought.

((It's Andros. You think I would kill him just like that? :D ))

"That is odd," Almalexia replied, "Because that was Master Starlighter. I wouldn't think Tyrannus would survive."

Andros made a pass accross the bridge of the ship to signal it was him. True that this was a short battle but like his people, they are bound to aid the Republic. He then said through his comm, "This is Draigon one returning to base." He headed towards the docking bay.

Maybe it was, brother, Alkea replied, sensing her brother's thoughts. You would have to ask Master Starlighter. He was there. Her thoughts were broken by a kiss planted on her cheek by Reyvan.

"Following logic, I would agree with you, but Tyrannus is not a logical man." Hethra replied. "We should discuss this in further detail on Coruscant, with the rest of the Jedi Council." He added, but this was directed at Komad and Alkonium as well. "I agree. With the Death Star destroyed, the Sith Empire bankrupt, and the Sith Order vacant, the war is practically over." Alkonium commented. Komad felt strange. The war with the Sith had been going on his entire life, and it was finally over. He always had something worth fighting for, and something worth fighting against, but now, only something worth fighting for, something worth protecting. On the other hand, he was grateful Kalla would not have to grow up in the same wartorn galaxy he did.

"And I am glad myself young Komad," Andros replied as he emerged from the docking bays, "No one should have to grow up in a time of darkness."

"I would agree with you on that," Almalexia added, glad herself that the years of deception were finally over.

"We'll be back to Coruscant in tweleve hours," Alkea announced as she came in with Reyvan encircling her waist.

"Good. The Senate will want to know everything, and despite being the mindless bureaucrats they are, they're the veins of the Republic." Hethra commented.
"I agree. The sooner they can elect a new Chief of State, the sooner the war will be officially over." Alkonium replied.
"I'm going to scout ahead. There may still be TIE Wraiths around Coruscant." Komad said, leaving for the hangar.

Andros watched as Komad made his way to the hangar. He knew what it was like to be suddenly left without something to fight for. True that he had his children and siblings but his true love was the wife he lost. He self imposed his own exile out of grief and maybe to hide from everything. He said nothing but continued to watch.

Alkea watched her brother. She sent, Always ready for a fight aren't you brother?

I suppose so. Komad replied. For diplomatic reasons, I'll try to capture as many of the pilots as I can. He then jumped back into his X-38, and left the Star Destroyer.
