The Doctor stood next to a locked door.
*I assume this is the Jedi's quarters.* he pulled the sonic screwdriver out from one of his many pockets and activated it. He held it up to the lock, which clicked open.
*There's nothing more useless than a lock without a voice print,* he laughed to himself. Opening the door, he walked into a tediously tidy room, the furniture arranged in the most efficient way possible. The Doctor began to look around the desk. A neat pile of unused data cards sat on the corner of the desk, as well as an empty mug that smelt as if it had contained something similar to one of The Doctor's favourite Earth beverages - Coffee. There was a data card in the reader. Activating the screen, the Doctor read the information displayed. It appeared to be a detailed scematic of the Ebon Hawk, as well as information on Kira, Atton, and Disciple. There was also mention of other companions, though nothing very detailed ((I don't know who is on the Ebon Hawk at the moment)). There was also what appeared to be the man's orders. They stated that he was indeed a Jedi knight by the name of Karda Jal-Ordo. He had been sent to find the Ebon Hawk and bring her back to Dantooine. *It looks as if I was right. He is here to bring her back to the council.* The Doctor grabbed the data card out of the input and left to find K9.
K9 rolled through the halls, his sensor probe out and active. He stopped. There was something in the next room - and it was emitting a low frequency tracking signal, which would have been invisible to the ship's scanners. The Doctor came up behind him. *Did you find anything, K9?*
"Affirmative, Master. There appears to be some sort of transmitter located on the outside of the hull. It is transmiting on a frequency of 1003.45, Master." he said.
*Can you deactivate it?*
"Negative, Master. Insufficient knowledge of technology. Scans also indicate a high-yield explosive set to detonate upon attempted deactivation."
*Well then, we must go back to the Ebon Hawk and warn Karda. I must also speak with Kira - it looks as if Karda is here to take her back to the council. Come along, K9.*
The Doctor and K9 returned to the TARDIS, closing the door behind them. After a moment, the metallic screech sounded again, and the TARDIS dematerialised.
"Unfortunately, Vrook, Vandar, and Dorak are all dead- as are Vash, Zez-Kai Ell, and Kavar. Many fell on Dantooine when Malak bombed it, and many more died on Katarr from Nihilus; Vash was killed by Sion on Korriban; and Kavar, Vrook, and Zez-Kai all were killed by Darth Traya. I believe the Jedi Exile was there, in fact." Karda looked around the ship, admiring it.
"I've heard this thing is the fastest ship in the galaxy, isn't it. Probably one of the most famous, too- the ship you traveled in, and the ship that the Jedi Exile Kira also traveled in."
"You think this is fast, you should see the TAR--" but Tegan's words were cut short by a loud screeching sound, indicating the return of the Doctor. "Ah, speak of the devil - there she is now."
The TARDIS materialised slowly, the screeching sound grinding into the ears of everyone on the ship. It stopped suddenly, and the door burst open. The Doctor ran out, K9 right behind him.
*Revan, grab him! He's here to bring Kira back to the Jedi council. I have proof.* he added, holding up the data card. *I'm also sorry to report that he might have been folloed. K9 picked up a tracking device on the outer hull. I don't know put it there.*
"No, let him go." Kira said, rather quietly. "I knew why he was here from the moment he contacted us."
"Think about what you're doing!" Atton whispered so that only she could hear, "If he takes you back to the Council, what will they do? It sounds as if they're even more blind than the last one! They might try to kill you!"
"But if she doesn't face the Council, we'll be hunted relentlessly until she does!" Disciple whispered.
"That's enough, both of you." the Exile said, turning back to Karda, "However, I'm curious about the tracking device. Any idea how it got there?"
*Kira, i must object. This - none of this - is supposed to be happening. The Jedi Council could be under the influence of an alien entity, or The Master, or something else of that sort" ((No, I won't introduce The Master or any aliens from another galaxy, so stop worrying. It's just to give my character something to argue with)). *If they kill you, the galaxy will be doomed forever.*
"I can take care of myself, thanks." Kira said, rather annoyed. Things had been happening so fast and now everyone was on her back. "I know what I'm doing."
*I assure you I meant no disrespect. I'm only concerned with your safety.* said the Doctor. *I know that you are perfectly capable of protecting yourself - you proved that to me before. I only wish to help.*
Kelborn sat rather amusedly, watching the events transpire on board the Ebon Hawk. He found the musings of the crew, to be most entertaining.
....................................................................................................................
The BASILISK cast its shadow high above ZIOST. The dark Figure remaind hidden behind his veil of darkness. He stretched out through the force, searching for those who might become mindless slaves to his terrible will.
((Sorry the post is a bit short........I'm having brain farts tonite. writers block))
"If you wish to attack and capture me, I'm not sure whether I could do anything against Revan and the Jedi Exile." Karda said stiffly. "I'll admit, that was what the Jedi Council asked me to do. I meant you no harm, and I was trying to help you. I have no bad intentions toward you all. How could I really do anything? I'm just following what the Jedi Council told me to!"
He turned toward "The Doctor." "And next time, crackpot, you could ask before you head into my ship, and search my private quarters. And tell me what is in my own ship. I have to admit, I'm a little ticked off right now." He said hotly.
*Well, insults are hardly becoming of a Jedi, now are they?* retorted the Doctor. *I would have thought that years under a Jedi Master would have knocked some form of Jedi manners into you, but apparently not. Bah, you Jedi are all the same; Always talking your nonsense about the 'uncertainty of the future'; Always seeing patterns in things that aren't there: It really irritates me, you know. YOu haven't changed sinced the founding of the Order. And I'll tell you something else--*
"Now Doctor, there's no need to be rude," said Tegan, half-mockingly. "If I can't do it then you can't either."
"Yes, this kind of behaviour isn't getting us anywhere." said Nyssa. "Arguing won't help us at all. Isn't that right, K9?"
"Affirmative, mistress."
Brax was starting to like this 'Doctor' based on over hearing him, a man ruled by his emotions. And the young Jedi that had joined them didn't sound too 'controlled' either, but the Jedi from what he knew always spoke of 'calm emotions' 'peace' and 'serenity' but in reality ... they were just as emotional as any other sentient.
(What is it with me always starting the new page, lol)
((You're the designated page turner.))
*Yes, my apologies, mr. Karda.* said the Doctor, sounding only semi-sincere. *It was rude of me to invade your ship and privacy like that. But you must understand that we needed information. My way was the fastest way of getting it without torturing you or something archaic like that. Torture in space is terrible, anyway - If there's one thing I hate, it's being tortured by someone with cold hands.*
Crystal watched the arguments in silence until she noticed Kelborn doing the same. She moved over to him and spoke quietly enough that only he heard her.
"A source of amusement or annoyance?" she asked him. "Their argument, I mean."
Kelboen turned his head and looked at the young woman beneath his helmet and visor. She was attractive he thought to himself for a moment, before shaking the thought away. "Its rather amusing, considering. We are wasting so much time, we should be headed to coruscant, or to Dxun, to get help against a growing threat." He stated. "But instead, like children, the stay here squabbling about who's being rude to who." He continued. With that he stood up sharply and shouted to the argumentative crew of the Ebon Hawk. " THIS BEHAVIOR IS UNBECOMING OF A MANDALORIAN." The other crew members grew silent, and looked at him momentarily, he had grown calm again. "I'll be in the cockpit if anyone needs me." He turned from their sight, and stormed twards the ship's cockpit.
*Well, perhaps we should all agree to get along, shall we? This behaviour is unbecoming of a Time Lord, as well. Come K9.* said The Doctor, turning around and heading back to the TARDIS.
"That would be the best thing." Kira said. Turning to Atton and Disciple, she added, "Why don't you two go with the Doctor and his assitants and help them get settled?"
"See, actually, I was going to..." Atton began, but after a subtle look from the Exile, he finished "Do that right now."
With that, he and Disciple left, talking in low tones.
Kira again turned to Karda. "Seeing as you'll be escorting us to the Council, would you rather stay on the Ebon Hawk or return to your own ship?"
---------
"What do you think that Jedi really wants?" Atton asked Disciple as they receeded down the hallway.
"I find him honest. I do believe that he is simply an errand boy for the Council."
"I dunno. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw 'im."
"As a matter of fact, I'd say the same about you."
"Jee, thanks. Great to know I've got you watching my back..." the Scoundrel said. "I just...he just doesn't seem right to me..."
"Or perhaps you're more worried about the Exile's reaction to him?"
"So you caught the looks she was giving him too?"
"I don't think she even knew what she was doing."
"Either that or she was trying to mask it..."
The Doctor opened the TARDIS door and entered. K9, Nyssa, and Tegan following, Tegan forgetting to close the door behind her, though nobody noticed.
They entered a very large white room. It was impossible for such a large room to exist in such a small blue box, yet there it was. In the middle of the room was a strange console with a short pillar at it's centre. The console had many blinking lights on it, as well as dozens of buttons and switches.
"Are we staying here long, Doctor?" asked Nyssa.
*I think so.* he answered. *I can't see any harm in it.*
"But I thought we were going to visit my Aunt back on Earth?" whined Tegan.
*Relax, Tegan. Earth will still be there when we're done here. It's not going anywhere - well, nowhere where we can't find it again.* Now, neither of you have slept in almost 3 days, so I want you to go get some rest. I have a feeling tommorow is going to be a big day.*
"What about you, Doctor?" asked Tegan. "You haven't slept in three days, either. It shows, too."
*Yes, I will get some sleep soon, don't worry about me.* Nyssa and Tegan walked through the door opposite the entrance and dissapeared.
*K9?*
"Master?"
*I want you to shut down your systems for now. You need to recharge your energy packs.*
"As you wish, Master. Goodnight, Master."
*Goodnight, K9.* With that, K9's head fell limp, and the light in his eyes went out, leaving the Doctor alone in the quiet console room.
"If its all right with you, Kira, it would be more convenient to stay on the Ebon Hawk for now." Karda said. "And, I think there are some things I'd need to discuss, about the council- unless you are sure about letting me take you back?"
From behind Atton and the Disciple, Crystal listened. She kept herself silent enough to be unheard and unseen by either of them. Unsure who to trust, she slipped away to be alone... not an easy thing to do in a ship this size with so many people aboard. In the end, she found the Exile. Instead of immediately striking up a conversation with her, Crystal sat on the floor, her back against the wall and her knees pulled up to her chest. In this position, she watched the Exile waiting for an answer from the newcomer.
"Of course, that would be no problem," Kira said. She then noticed Crystal sitting near-by. Turning to Karda, she said, "Come with me," and began to head off to one of the dormitories. Before out of sight, however, the Exile gave Crystal a look as if to say 'one moment'.
Once they were alone in the dormitory, Kira leaned back against one of the bunks, her eyes closed. A lot had happened that day, and things had been hard for her to digest. After a moment, she opened her eyes and stood again, turning to Karda. "We have some extra room in this dorm. Pick a bunk, but try to avoid the bottom farthest on the left and the bottom bunk farthest on the right. Those are Atton's and Disciple's."
As she finished, she sighed, "And you said you have questions?"
-----
Atton silenced the Disciple for a moment, looking behind them, but finding an empty hallway.
"What?" Disciple asked.
"Nothing...I just thought...Nah, nevermind."
They continued into the main hold, finding the TARDIS there. They went over to the door which was slightly ajar. The two men exchanged a look, Atton shrugged his shoulders, and the Jedi pushed the door further open and entered to find...
"Sith's blood!" Atton said, gazing around the white room, "How the hell does something like this fit into something so small??"
Kelborn had punched the coordinates for Coruscant into the main console. He grumbled to himself about Mandalorian honor, and his thoughts traveled far beyond the reaches of time and space, back to the height of the Mandalorian wars. HE rembered fighting against jedi, and he had survived. He had even taken a prize from two jedi he managed to defeat. One green, and one blue lightsaber, which against Mandalore's wishes, he trained himself to use. He knew nothing about the "force" per say, as he had no connection to it, but he did no how to use his sabers, and he used them well. He did not trust many of the crew he now traveld with, which may have been from years of ingrained paranoia, or perhaps it was his mandalorian training, but something wasn't right, and he knew it. So as always he remained on his guard, his expressions masked behind his red armor shell.
"Sith's blood!" Atton said, gazing around the white room, "How the hell does something like this fit into something so small??"
*Ah, mr. Rand, Disciple! Welcome to the TARDIS!* The Doctor faltered at the expressions on their faces, then realized what was wrong. *Ah yes, you don't know yet. The TARDIS is dimesionally Transindental.* seeing the confused looks on their faces, he simplified: *It's bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. You see, the interior of the TARDIS exists in a different dimesnion than the exterior, allowing for the size difference. I'm not sure I understand it completely myself, actually. What brings you here, may I ask, gentlemen?*
The swoop bike hood slid open as silently as he could make it, and he dropped to the floor without a sound, closing it again. Brax looked around, hunching down, the force refelcting light around him and dampening the soft sounds of breath and feet. He crept quietly through the ship, eyes darting around. Stopping in the main hold where Crystal leaned against a bulkhead. He frowned, and slid along one wall, past an alcove on his right, and then down the neck of the ship and toward the cockpit.
He glanced into the room on his right, a droid was plugged into the astrogation terminal and he avoided it, slipping into the cockpit, looking over at the Mandalorian sitting in the pilot's seat. He moved slowly, silently, into the co-pilot's seat. And then, apeared.
"You're a mandalorian aren't you?" He asked, glancing at the man, "Stay quiet, the other's don't know I'm here, obviously, but I think that you and I could come to an arrangment."
"We came to see if you needed anything." Disciple said as Atton did a 360, taking the place in.
"Another dimension..." he muttered. This was...a little over his head.
"Yes, I do have a bit of things I would like to know- as would the Council, no doubt. Mostly just what you did after you defeated Darth Traya, and how you met up with Revan. And what you are doing now." Karda said after Atton and the Disciple had left.
Kelborn turned to face the man, unphased. "Was the armor a dead give away?" he asked rather amuseldy. as he placed his hand on his stolen lightsabers. "Go ahead I'm listening."
....................................................................................................................
The dark figure had made his way down onto the planet, Ziost. He could feel the dark energy of the world flowing through him, it gave him great strength and focus. Thousands of his newly reawakened Massassi rushed about throughout the structures of dozens of abandoned fortresses on the ancient Sith world.
His two hungry terentatek had already found their first victim, by ripping a massassi who got to close, to pieces. The dark figure proceeded along the main walkway observing his underlings with a dark gaze........
"We haven't been doing much, really. After Traya's defeat...well, we began a search for Revan. That is, until we docked on Nar Shadaa to refuel, and that's when everyone arrived. Revan, the Doctor, you...quiet a coincidence, actually..." she said, thoughtfully.
"Funny how those happen, isn't it?" Said Karda, thinking back to many stories and tales of great Jedi heroes.
"Yeah...though I think we both know that true coincidences are rare..." Kira stopped, a shadow falling over her face. Hadn't Kriea said that to her so long ago?
"We came to see if you needed anything."
*No, we're quiet alright, thank you.* said the Doctor. *Wait, there might be something you can do for me. K9 detected a spacial disturbance in the garage earlier. He couldn't identify what it was, though. Is there anything in there that could have caused this. A damged hydro-spanner or the like?*
"I'm...not sure." Disciple said.
"Nah, Bao-Dur makes sure that all the tools are in perfect working order. He wouldn't let anything break." Atton said, finally getting his head out of the clouds. "Though...I did feel like someone was watching us..."
*Well then perhaps we should investigate. K9?*
K9 reactivated immediately.
"Master?"
*Sorry to wake you K9, but we're going to go investigate the spacial disturbance in the garage bay. Come along.* The Doctor walked out the TARDIS door, K9 following close behind.
Disciple and Atton followed immediatly. The Scoundrel loosened his blaster in its holdster, and when Disciple gave him a skeptical look, he said, "I've got a bad feeling about this."
The Doctor turned the corner into the garage bay. He looked down at K9.
*Now, can you localize the source of the disturbance, K9?*
K9's "ears" rotated for a moment. "Negative, Master. The spacial disturbance is no longer present."
*What? Are you sure?*
"Affirmative, Master."
*Well where could it have gone?*
"Insufficient data to formulate a conclusion, Master."
*Well, let's take a look around anyway.*
"Wait a moment," Disciple said, pausing, "There's...something in the cockpit I didn't sense before. Perhaps it is the disturbance we're looking for?"
*K9, do you detect anything?*
"Negative, Master" he responded.
*Well, Jedi senses are rarely wrong, so we'd best investigate.*
As the group approached the cockpit, they heard voices. One was the Mandalorian, but the other...was unfamiliar. Disciple reached for his saber while nodding to Atton, who armed himself with his blaster...
*K9, ready your laser*
"Acknowledged, Master." and with that, a short piece of cylindrical metal protruded from K9's mouth.
The Doctor himself had no weapons.
Sensing something strange, Karda noticed the group sneaking up to the cockpit. Staring at them he poked his head around the corner and watched them get closer. "What are you guys doing?" He asked quietly.
"Shut up!" Atton hissed.
"There's someone in the cockpit," Disciple whispered.
"What?" Kira had come around the corner now as well.
((OOC: 3yks...where are you...))

((It's almost as if 3yks has a life or something.
1500 posts!!!! w00t!!!!))
(Sorry guys, long work day.)
Brax smiled faintly, "Why is your armor somehow relating to the fact that you are a mandalorian? I have only heard of your kind in rumors and such." He shrugged. "I want Revan, the others I could care little about. From my understanding of the mandalorians you might be able to help me arrange a one on one duel with him, these other Jedi are of no concern to me, but Revans' activities in the places you call the 'unknown regions' have been ... unhelpful to my people." Brax's clawed hands lifted and he glanced behind him. "Damn." He whispered, and the force folded around him, rending him for the most part invisible. He stood up slowly, and grabbing the back of the chair rotated himself to where his feet touched the ceiling, holding himself up there.
"Mas--"
*Keep it down, K9! What is it?*
"The spacial disturbance has returned, Master." he said in a low voice. "It originated from the cockpit."
*What's causing it?*
"Insufficient data to formulate a conclusion, Master."
"Argh, damn it!" Atton said before pushing his way into the cockpit. "Alright, Mandalorian, who was just here??"
((1 day left until Christmas! Too bad I have to work tonight...))
"Danger, Master, Danger!" yelled K9. "Unidentified alien life form detected!"
The Doctor spun around to look at K9 for a second, then, realizing what he just said, looked around the cramped cockpit.
*Where? I don't see anyone?*
"Unable to give a precise location." he responded. "Spacial disturbance conincides with life form readings."
*You mean that the spacial disturbance is being caused by this alien?*
"affirmative, Master"
Kelborn turned ever so gently in the pilots seat, to face Atton. "Whos here? look around you, what do you see? ME. I am all thats here, I think to much stagnation is starting to short circuit your mind." Kelborn retorted nonchalantly at Atton. HE then rose to his feet slowly and pushed Atton out of his way, "If you'll excuse me, I'll be in the cargo hold, honing my skills." He began to exit the cockpit.........
*Hold it, Kelborn.* said the Doctor. *There was someone else here, K9 has said so, and Disciple confirmed it. Now, who was here, and where did they go?*
When he didn't respond, Atton grabbed the Mandalorian by the throat and shoved him back into the wall. "WHO'S HERE?" he yelled in his face.
