Yeah, I've lost posts - some of them long - because I tend to have open a lot of windows and sometimes write multiple posts at once. Which means when I hit submit, it gets unhappy, and occasionally I hit back to find the text is gone. Anyway my curr...  [Read More]

Glad I could help : ) I look forward to downloading it so I can see how the rest looks. Thought you'd like to know, I'm feeling inspired and sent an email to Absath asking him for the wireframes so I can do something of my own. No response yet, but I...  [Read More]

Looking at it again, I might have less to say than I thought, but the one main thing is his eyes. They don't really look like eyes, more like big blue dots in the middle of his head. Here's how I do eyes. If you like the method, go ahead and use it;...  [Read More]

I have to say I agree. Given the quality of some of the skins up for grabs there, you definately should release this one. It's easy to see you've put in much more effort in this skin than about half the skins on jediknightii.net. Sure, it isn't the b...  [Read More]

Hammerhead is the nickname people gave him, because no one seemed to care about the details of race or name for the backgroudn aliens. Of course, that's much different now, btu back in the seventies and early eighties that didn't seem to get much att...  [Read More]

"Dude, put some pants on!" Seriously, just curious, but will he be wearing more clothing than that when the model comes out? Or is that what Ithorians normally wear? Not being fecitious here; I honestly don't know that much about Ithorians...  [Read More]

While there are friendlier forums, I don't think that's the problem. I think it's more that the few people who know how to do this - and are any good - are likely working on their own projects. I need to learn to model, and I figure, I need to learn...  [Read More]

That would be wonderful, but I agree with your decision to hold off until later. I do hope it happens someday; Joruus' insanity could be truly brought out with facial expressions, as could Jorus' relative strength and stability. I'm off from work t...  [Read More]

I haven't checked nearly all of them, but the only ones I've seen blink and flex their hands and such are the Raven crafted models. They fidget, which, to me, seems to add more life to the models. And also, as of what, a week or so ago, it's much mor...  [Read More]

You said you're building the model wrapped around the skeleton already, correct? Will this model be able to frown and blink and everything like most of the Raven models can? If not, no biggie, since most now don't, but I was just curious....  [Read More]

I definately like. He looks very dignified there, which I like. Even Joruus was a bit cultured, even if his instabilities won out in the end. Skinning ideas are definately running around in my head for our friend Jorus. Random note, but I don't thin...  [Read More]

For now [and JUST for now] I'll convert the original map from JK1. Just so I have something that is roughly the size and shape I want. Can't do that with Maw cause he'll die, but I can for Yun....  [Read More]

If I could map, I'd jump all over doing a demo, but that's not where my talents lie. Currently I'm a skinner who is moving into the field of modelling - starting with uvw unwrapping, since that's going to be something I need to do eventually, and the...  [Read More]

If we had a website, I'd be sure to tell you what it is. The One [not the One, not the One; sorry, couldn't resist... kudos to you if you had any clue what I was referencing], I think I figured out how you can get Fett to fly, but it's going to take...  [Read More]

Wait... you mean you can make floors that only NPCs can walk on? Well hell then, if that's true then problem solved! Flying with a saber is pretty much impossible without a new AI [as far as I have tested anyway; I tried the droid idea], so I was tr...  [Read More]

Working on it, but nowhere yet. The_One, you might want to check out the Maw Released thread on the modelling board; I went into a little more detail there about my attempts at making Maw fly. It worked, technically, but... well, you'll see : ) But...  [Read More]

Don't think you really need to; it's really quite easy now that I have the hang of it. And if I can whip up a boss, I can whip up other NPCs. Even neutral ones, like we'd expect in Nar Shaddaa. Speaking of which, I've downloaded two Yun skins. Going...  [Read More]

No props to me, props to Madjai and Inbredyokel; nothing I'm doing would be possible without them. I don't really consider npc crafting or even Icarus coding [unless it's fairly extreme] to be very credit worthy. Seriously, I can't wait for Madjai's...  [Read More]

Maw officially scares me now. But he still falls to his death if he flies over a pit. So we can't do his level yet. But I'll figure it out, I promise. For now, Maw is scary as all hell if he's got a wide open place to maneuver in. His repulsor sled...  [Read More]

I'll be starting a skin myself as soon as I can find my issues of X-wing Rogue Squadron. I seem to have misplaced a fair ammount of comics which, needless to say, is making me rather unhappy. Either way, you can look forward to seeing a non-Jedi skin...  [Read More]
