Personally i think your all being a little bit tiny minded its only 1 little ship it can't turn the tide of a battle. Right - it's "only" the #1 heavy bomber the Alliance has. 3 lasers, 3 ions, tonnes of torpedoes. How would a squadron of t...  [Read More]

The Empire Strikes Back, mostly because it's a departure from the Hollywood "heroes always win". The Alliance has its butt kicked in that movie. Not to mention that it shows off the Empire as the horrifying killing machine that it is. Emp...  [Read More]

what you going to do about it? Put you on my ignore list until you figure out how to discuss things without flaming:D. Anyways, from what I know, navigation will be restricted to paths from planet to planet, rather than being free like in other game...  [Read More]

I recommend you post this in LucasForums' dedicated debate/serious discussion forum, at Jedi Knight, Community, Senate Chambers. It might get moved there in either case:). My question is do you think that certain companies will withhold releasing th...  [Read More]

He has a point guys and when heroes die they DIE! But maybe you'll be able to bionicly recreate a body like they did for darth father. (If they're on time) Perhaps. That'd be an interesting feature, too - imagine a 1v2 on a planet's surface: Rebel P...  [Read More]

its actually quite simple, they code the game to have the heros respawning, they then code in a switch, respawn = off or respawn = on I was being sarcastic:p. The problem I would have would be being too careful with them. Not at all. Have you played...  [Read More]

This is Star Wars, not South Park, and Darth Vader isn't Kenny. To put it that way. Gameplay>Realism. A game is just that, a game. I hate those two stupid clichй tags. 1. Do you have a monopoly on determining what is good game-play? Don't think...  [Read More]

I'll put it this way, its fine for planetary forces to have naval units, but its not really feasible for a galactic miliatary to have them on a large scale, mostly for logistics, it how do they move them, how do they get them into the water from spac...  [Read More]

Yes to naval battles. I don't think we need water-specific units. They are never mentioned anywhere in the Star Wars universe, or at least I have never heard of them, so I don't know why they would include them in this game. So I guess I don't want...  [Read More]
Graphics isn't everything. Word. My favourite games have rather terrible graphics, in fact. And lower graphics make for more details. For example, in X-Com, you can blow just about everything up, from whole hills to buildings. Try doing that in Battl...  [Read More]

Not really, it's military tongue. Like saying USS Enterprise instead of United States Ship Enterprise. Or Panzer VI or Tiger instead of Panzerkampfwagen Sechs (sp.?) Tiger. Or DD August instead of the Destroyer August If someone's making a scenario...  [Read More]

Actually, he forgot quite a few. But to list every single ship in XWA would take an eternity:D. AT-AT: All-terrain Armoured Transport AT-ST: All-Terrain Scout Transport AT-PT: All Terrain Personal Transport I thought everyone knew those:p. Has the...  [Read More]
Why aren't they making a sequel Two reasons, I think: 1. Money. 2. Kids nowadays are realismphobes and want everything to be as simple as possible (just look at how Battlefront with auto-aim and everything sold!). I can picture them coming out of a...  [Read More]

Why do I get a feeling Bush was the genesis for this change? I consider him more of a figure-head. This smells like Cheney, Wolfowitz, and Rumsfeld, especially the latter one. (b) non nuclear states don't need them as they won't get nuked. Except if...  [Read More]
