That's an interesting strategy. However, if I played that, and found that it automatically worked every single time even on Hardest, I'd stop using the strategy. Not much point to playing a game where the ending is a foregone conclusion. A high proba...  [Read More]

The game is really well balanced. As such, for each advantage there is a corresponding disadvantage. The Trade Federation needs not build any houses. This helps, especially if you are a beginner, you don't keep getting the 'you need more houses' erro...  [Read More]

I agree about mounted troops. They definitely work well vs. pummels and artillery. Jedi also work amazingly well vs. mechs. I've used one single Jedi Knight ot take out several AT-ATs all by himself....  [Read More]

I believe Greade troops work well vs. mechs, but I could be wrong. If so, they're a cheap way to get an area-effect mech destroying unit out there, which sometimes can help a great deal, particularly if you don't have enough spare carbon at the momen...  [Read More]

I don't play other people (just the computer, at least so far), but it seems to me, if you have enough food gatherers, you should be gaining food faster than you lose it building workers. In other words, say you have 100 food. You go to your CC and b...  [Read More]

It varies, because you need less farmers if you have an animal shelter with 10 nerfs (powered by a power core), pumping 60 food/minute into your economy, then if you do not. But i usually try to have the following at the time of upgrade: 10 Food Gat...  [Read More]

I, too, play mostly on moderate. That's hard enough; I win about 3/5ths of the time, on that level. Since it's still a challenge, I haven't tried to move up yet. One day when I see my win ratio going up to 3/4ths or more, then perhaps I will "gr...  [Read More]

This make sense based on most of my experience against the computer: it finds you once, and having done so and drawn a path to get to you, it keeps going at the same points, kind of like a "battle of the bulge." I had thought that was hardw...  [Read More]

The gungans sound finished. Power cores, houses, and carbon centers are not going to save them. I'd send the main attack force to go after the wookiees, following, if possible, the path they are taking to approach you. Start from your own base, and w...  [Read More]

I think my AoK record one time was about 5 hours, but it was a very, very long game... Depending on your settings... any chance you could win by just building a monument? Might be easier (and quicker) if you are well defended. On the other hand, d...  [Read More]
