I was going to comment on the genericness of the observations, but I see I've been beaten to it. On the first one, though, I suspect Lucas might have been more culturally familiar with the phrase "peace be with you" from the New Testament:...  [Read More]

On pauses, enter the number of seconds you want the pause to continue in the "Delay" box in dlgedit. It's default setting is -1. You could also tick the "Node Unskippable" box, though you may need to raise the control panel in dlg...  [Read More]

Actually, the bigger problem is that more NPCs means more for the PC to process, meaning slowdown. Whether or not it also effects the engine, I couldn't say, but given KotOR II's somewhat delicate constitution, it's probably best not to risk it. And...  [Read More]

No. To make this script work, you're going to have to create a series of custom generic citizens, and assign to each one a particular value. Then, you need to have the script randomly select a value, and randomly generate its own co-ordinates. Since...  [Read More]

You could use AniCam to create animated cameras, but it's probably easier in the long run to use an ordinary static camera, for which you do indeed need to edit the .git file. Remember to use K-GFF for this, as other GFF editors will break the camera...  [Read More]

Generally, it's safer to compile your modules as .mod files. This way, you don't erase the original file, and can still access your module in-game. As an added bonus, there appears to be no in-game difference between using a .rim and a .mod (except t...  [Read More]

For KotOR I, you can get the XYZ co-ordinates by typing "whereami" (without the quotes) into the console. However, this won't give you the bearing or orientations. For that, I use Star Admiral's K1 Utility Armbands (http://knightsoftheoldre...  [Read More]

I'm raising this more as a discussion-point than anything, but... in KotOR II's animations.2da, there are rows set aside for 'ready' stances for the Makashi, Soresu, Ataru, Shien, Niman and Juyo forms. There are three rows each; one for single, doubl...  [Read More]
