Tried to create a bump map for it but its hard to get good results (or results at all), the closest i've gotten is this (http://piclair.com/data/thrnb.jpg), looks quite awful and is too shiny.

Here's a better variety, mostly playing around with a envmap.

but it's nothing final.

Can I ask how you did the glowing. Or more to the point what envmap you used. The glowing in the hawk do look incredible.

When will this be released?

I used CM_eh for the "glow".

The Ebon Hawk should be released this week sometime.

Man, How could I've missed this thread x-D
Very nice work; Bumpmaps awesome!!!

Now someone will need to retexture all the pary members and NPCs, they look cartoony next to this more realistic texture approach :-p

Hope to see this finished for each planet, can't wait to see what you're up to for those!

The ebon hawk is nice with the reflection it looks as if the engine is in cased in some type of glass clear frame like a server.... either way better than the default texture

Glad you like it. Here's the final version, its a bit "cleaner". I'm just adding a few damaged versions of it and then i'll upload them..

The archive will be ~113MB(!), i hope that wont be a problem (when it comes to uploading it to KOTOR Files?)

i guess can do side by side comparison (same position for all shots) later on with all the models so people can judge / see easier which model they prefer. personally i think the later model looks more "interesting".

Here's the "battle torn" version (is it too much?) of the ship, with me in the front (i had to try skinning a head, havent done that before) - staring angrily at you :D

Hmm imo its not easy to see what is up/down or mirrored on the model, the details are very "difuse" to say the least.

ok, which model do you want me to upload, vote 1 for the top one, 2 for the lower :)

.. i can't upload both textures, they are quite big (16MB each.. and there's 14 of them).

But the Ebon Hawk is always part of some level. He'll have to release all the areas with the Ebon Hawk in it so you have the Ebon Hawk.

N-5/Prudii: on Dxun my average FPS is in the 68-70 range, same on Korriban. Dantooine is the most demanding planet so far, where the FPS can drop to 25 for me but its usually in the 45-range. My graphics card isnt really the newest (ATI 4870x2, but i guess it's still a quite good card) my CPU is an old C2D which i run @ 3.8GHz currently. I tried it on my laptop with an ATI 5650 and the FPS is totally acceptable.

The first release is the Ebon Hawk (well the second really since i've already released the Protocol Droids). I hope i have the time to upload it later today.

There's still much to do with the levels, what you're seeing in the screenshots is bascily it, havent done much with the interiors at all.

I'm still a bit confused with the skies, Just like Dantooine, Dxun also have two sets of skies.. are these just unused left overs or are they used at some point in the game?

Dxun might have another sky texure, when a part of your party goes to that tomb. Crawling with Sith, at the second part of the Onderon quest.

Though it's hard to tell when one gets used or another. Some of those textures are just plainly the same, but better or worse in quality.

dxun has the double sided top to bottom shared skybox which is very frustrating i tried to change it and got upside down sky in other places.

Quanon: ok thanks. I'll have to progress further to see it then..

Xarwarz: i know, you have to use a sky where you really cant tell what's up or down :)

Uploading the Ebon Hawk in a minute..
