Just bought Batman: Arkham Asylum game on Steam. Better graphics, PhysX support, and Windows Live (achievements) made it the obvious choice.

Figuring out the new Zune 4.0 software. Despite some weird assed bugs, the thing is amazing when it's working properly. I had to work for an hour just to get it installed. Had to build my entire catalog three times, my podcasts are still a little sketchy, and it has a tendency to display all of my music twice at random moments (which leads to the deleting of the library and re-importation).
But I just figured out how to use Smart DJ playlists. It's basically the magic that is Pandora, but it downloads the Pandora list 30 songs deep (as many more or less if you want) and keeps them on your computer and device, and it updates itself regularly. You can also change it to build a list of similar songs you already have in your possession (makes it easy to build good themed playlists), to either contain old and new, or just new stuff that you've never heard before from it's online catalog
Also, with a Zune Pass, you can stream any song you want from their website alone, so that's cool. It's nice, too. When using Pandora, if you ever find a song you like a lot, you either A) Spend money and actually buy it, or B) Just torrent the damn thing. But with this Zune pass **** I just right click and download the entire album right there, you know... legally.
I know I sound like an infomercial, but it's just my experience. I mean, really. I just downloaded around $300 in music in half an hour. And hell, my brother and sister are doing the same thing with their Zunes and computers. $5 a person a month... And then 10 free songs.

Perfect timing cause I just got a little sick today and have been doing nothing but zoning out and listening to podcasts while playing this game. I've never played Diablo before, so this kind of stuff is new and fresh to me. It's easy to understand and the graphics are really nice to look at.
It's $5 for both the main game and it's expansion at Direct2Drive until the 28th. For $5, the price of freaking Uno on XBLA, it's really worth it. And Direct2Drive, while not as cool as steam, is actually very solid and trustworthy.

Finally got Halo 3 ODST and the new Dan Brown book The Lost Symbol through the door yesterday, so I'll be busy with those for a while.

Two fantastic films. I'm still shocked when people tell me they've never seen The Shawshank Redemption. It's blasphemous, I tell you!
Yeah Shawshank is definately in my all time top 10 fav films.
ODST is okay so far. Having 3 of the cast members from Firefly doing VO's is a definate plus.
Wolfenstein RPG on iPhone / iPod Touch has been a very nice time waster.

The first time I saw it I thought it was a "good" movie--not one of the best, but definitely good. Each time I've seen it since, however, it just gets better and better. I can't really find anything seriously wrong with it.

It's a good movie, but I think it's nowhere near as brilliant as people make it out to be.
That $632 pricetag on my speeding ticket back in june was apparently a mistake. It was only supposed to be $107. Traffic school demerited its points, dropped the charge from moving to standing violation, and dropped its price to $77. I now have all this extra money I saved up.

Meh, It's a good movie but not MINDBLOWINGLY AWESOME as people make it out to be. I think my main gripe was the cast, I've always disliked Tim Robbins for reasons unknown. Only seen it once though, maybe I should give it another spin sometime.

I wouldn't say it's the best or by any means my favourite movie of all time or anything, but I really enjoy it at least once a year. It's got a good story and I love the soundtrack.
What can I say? It appeals to some more than others...evidently...not the less refined.
