Unfortunately, the statement that DirectX 8.1 and GF are incompatible is just wrong. Sure, maybe on this person's computer they didn't get along, but that's a long way from genuine incompatibility. I say that because I've run GF with every version of...  [Read More]

The patch doesn't address the belt speed problem. That didn't show up until processors starting going faster than 600 or 700 MHz, which was after the patch was made. It'd be nice if LEC made a new patch for it....  [Read More]

Is war ever necessary? In a limited sense, sometimes yes. If you are attacked, you have the right (and the need) to defend yourself. That applies equally well to individuals and groups, including nations. That's probably the only time war is necessar...  [Read More]

1) Who knows? It's left deliberately vague. There are two alternatives: the soul is in a state of perpetual torment, or it is annihiliated. And there's no way to know what Salvador's fate is. I've suggested that Eva intends to carry his remains to th...  [Read More]

Well, of course the link between Arwen and Luthien was intended by Tolkien. Not only is she Luthien's great-great-grandaughter, but their appearances are similar and they faced essentially the same choice: remain an immortal elf and be separated from...  [Read More]

That GFC news item is old. LucasArts has announced two adventure games: Full Throttle II (should come out late 2003) and a sequel to Sam and Max Hit the Road (2004). If there's an original adventure in the works it either hasn't been announced or it'...  [Read More]
