I haven't checked this forum in a while or been keeping up to date on news. Has Double Fine leaked any more hints about what they're working on?...  [Read More]

Damn, that is so cool (the DOD building). So Rubacava, when you at the Double Fine office did you look around for clues about what they were working on next, or did you ask Tim about it? BTW, your disk sleeve is in better condition than mine... I let...  [Read More]

I just played The Longest Journey. Good game. Not quite as exquisite as GF, but it would be unfair to any other game to compare them. I was happy that the game adopted some of the "LucasArts" principles, like making sure you can't die (alth...  [Read More]

Glad to hear there is some life to the genre. Growing up I was a LucasArts exclusive fan... I had played some of the Sierra games like Space Quest and this Robin Hood game, and some Sherlock Holmes game, but the LucasArts ones were far and away bette...  [Read More]

I just replayed Grim Fandango. It was the first time in a couple of years, and as I got to the end of it, I felt sad about leaving the game again, just like I have felt all the times I played the game. This time it was a little different though... th...  [Read More]

I've got mixed feelings about a GF2. If Shafer was involved, I'd be all for it... the man hasn't let us down yet. If it was just LucasArts, I'd wonder if they haven't already driven off all the people talented enough to make it work. Shafer hasn't do...  [Read More]

I think you also need to make sure that you get all the figments, cobwebs, and baggage out of the big top and tunnel of love before you actually enter the Butcher's tent. You can still get out to the collective unconcious after you've entered the but...  [Read More]

The manual mentions "Infinite Ammo" as a psi power upgrade. It says: "Infinite Ammo: By tapping into the raw power of the nearby Psitanium deposit, Raz obtains psychic ammo for PSI Blast and Confustion." Anyone know where that dep...  [Read More]

Did anyone try visiting that "secret" room in Black Velvetopia before defeating any of the wrestlers? Was the room just empty? I guess those rooms are secret in that you don't need to go there in order to beat the game. When I played the ga...  [Read More]

I just finished the game and only came back to see this after reading a walkthrough. You don't need to find this room to beat the game, it just seems to be there as a side bonus. Does anyone know of any other things in the game like that?...  [Read More]

That's really unfortunate. Does anyone have a clue about what Double Fine is planning now? They must be in a difficult situation. I really hope somehow Shafer is able to keep making games that are true to his vision. I'm going to look on the bright s...  [Read More]

Since this is from 2003, it means Tim wanted DF's next games to small before Psychonauts was released and flopped. So has Psychonaut's flopped? I haven't heard much about the success or lack thereof of the game......  [Read More]

I just hope Tim keeps making games. I play sports games once in a while, but other than that I wouldn't play any if Tim never made a game again, unless LucasArts decided to make another graphic adventure... If he made a Psychonauts sequel I'm sure i...  [Read More]

Originally posted by itchythesamurai I don't care about the genre as much as I do about the creativity, characters, storytelling, and the fun factor. I agree with that, but I'd add gameplay to it, and that's where I wish the graphic adventure coul...  [Read More]

Yeah that's probably true that another graphic adventure is unlikely. That's too bad. But hopefully with his next game he can include different modes, one that's mostly arcade intensive, one with a mix, and one that's mostly puzzle oriented. Somethin...  [Read More]

Please make another straight up graphic adventure. I know graphic adventures are dead, and Psychonauts is great for the most part for graphic adventure fans, but boy were we thrown under the bus for the arcade intensive finale. But I am glad that Psy...  [Read More]

I agree completely. This level is making me pull my hair out. I'm not much of a platform or action gamer, but I was a big LucasArts graphic adventure fan back in the day so I had to check out Tim Schaefer's new game. It's been fantastic so far, but n...  [Read More]
