Good Point, Astro. Too bad, though, b/c I like these forums better. theforce.net has decent forums, but I like the software here and the atmosphere here better; I'm not sure why. I also like that it's a little bit smaller community - but it'd be nice...  [Read More]
Wow. Talk about a difference... Three months ago there were a lot of people on this thread. Now there's no one here. Where'd all the people go, I wonder? Ah, well, that's all right. I'll just sit here and contemplate Danni Quee some more. And/or Jai...  [Read More]

I admit that it's not really a reasonable venture now. But that doesn't make it any less cool of an idea. I'd have a blast playing something like that. It would be most interesting to be able to develop a game like that, as well. True, the coding wou...  [Read More]

The strategy part would be cool... Perhaps as you advanced through the game you could choose different "career" paths - become a highly trained SpecOps type warrior, a negotiator, or an Admiral. Become a high-level military and you get more...  [Read More]

Okay, for years, now, I've been wanting a certain type of game. It's where you can pretty much do whatever you want whenever you want and watch it affect the course of other events in the universe. I know, I know, KOTOR, you'll all say. But no, that'...  [Read More]

I've been wondering the same thing. I've been around, but nobody's been posting. What with the NJO done and no new Clone Wars books out for a couple months, all we nerds are left alone in the dark... or something. But Zahn + Yoda book should pump us...  [Read More]

Holy cow. Time to shut down the thread; there is now no point to it. Seriously; does anyone actually remember the original point of the thread? I haven't had a chance to play online, but my thoughts are thus: label the servers, and don't play on hono...  [Read More]

Hyperspace itself had been known to the galaxy for some 20,000 years before that, though, Astro. It was "given" to the Corellians by a now unknown race that had previously discovered it. At that point, the human race was at a point that it...  [Read More]

Sorry, I did come off harsher than I intended. All I mean is, as long as you haven't played it yet, don't criticize it; some of us are looking forward to the system, though it's certainly not for everyone. How long till this is actually out there for...  [Read More]

Admiral - no offense, but if you don't like this saber system, don't play it. It's their mod, the way they want it, not yours. To be honest (and trying not to be rude): Don't criticize it; if you don't like it, go code something else or quite complai...  [Read More]
Here's an interesting point for you: the title of section 2, "Force and Counterforce" is actually the name of the last part of the original SW radio drama. Now, if that was intentional, it's just another sign of brilliance. It makes you won...  [Read More]
I also find it very hard to believe Nom Anor is dead. It did fit his character to go out that way, but I'm not sure that he could let himself go like that. I thought Jacen was awesome; he was always in character, but he was back to the butt-kicking,...  [Read More]

Question (I don't see it at pcgamemods as in the readme, so just curious): does Enhanced v0.0.1 include NickR's RGB saber color stuff? Or is he not done with it yet? Anyway, is what's in the readme the only changes? [not complaining, just curious]...  [Read More]
That'd be cool. I don't own most of them, but I've read them all. NJO could have been a great X-wing or KOTOR style game, too. Also, with TFP - nice. I like that; it works well. Course they messed it up in TUF w/the ending and everything, but, yeah...  [Read More]
Yeah, it'd be nice to see it cross the disciplines, but it didn't. I think those are some good points regarding the futility of war, but I think the point the authors have since made is that even a "futile" action can have far-reaching con...  [Read More]
I could wish for it... but I probably won't get it. We do have gaming cafes, but they're ridiculously expensive, and a lot of content their is really ... um ... shall we say, wrong? But, anyway, I don't use them. Another set of huge bad guys won't...  [Read More]
Interestingly enough, though apparently Jacen was originally the one slotted for death, I like the way he is built throughout the series better than Anakin. His development seems stronger: from a literary perspective, he is a "rounder" char...  [Read More]

Not sure where else to post this, so... Is there going to be any partitioning ability with OJP enhanced? As in, will we be able to turn on off things like the saber redux that Razor has done and whatnot. B/c I know that I won't always want to play w...  [Read More]
Wow.... I am good. Not meaning to be egotistical, mind, but... I just read the round-table discussion of the NJO on the TUF CD. And they said about what I did. But I wrote that about a month before I read TUF, even... But as a note, what they said...  [Read More]

Wow. (Repeat 6000+ times) That was about my reaction when I finished it. And I bought it and read it in one day, even if I did stay up late to do it... I agree: it's the best NJO book, tied with Traitor. And they're tied b/c they're so different th...  [Read More]

Got me there, Astro. But you cheated, and you know it, you little villian. I only read TUF a week ago... that was actually one of the few things I think Luceno didn't nail, besides the NJO as a whole. There was a lot of development that could have be...  [Read More]

I did too, but I love Danni now... No, Ben, she's MINE!!!! I think she's a good match for him. She keeps him grounded, and she's very practical in a lot of ways. I think that as she finishes her training as a Jedi, she's going to be awesome. Moreov...  [Read More]
