I'm not really sure what everyone is wanting. I'll accept it needs a few extra hitpoints but a lot of the changes I've heard - carrying loads of fighters, carrying torpedo launchers, more guns, more PWNING ability and whatever, it's just cheese. That...  [Read More]

So, from your understanding, JM12, how univerasally is that dictum applied? From the lowliest of plant life? Also, are there any caveats to that belief? I've never personally studied buddhism and was interested in your take on the whole buddhist angl...  [Read More]

Actually, how do you prove a negative like that? Fact is, we don't really know what effect that capital punishment has on influencing people not to commit a capital crime. It might be more accurate to claim that since you can't quantify the impact, i...  [Read More]

And what of how Saddam ordered the deaths of thousands? Shouldn't his punishment be somewhat equal to his crimes? Are we inherently better then him if we order his death? Perhaps I'm too idealistic, but I always believe that someone can be redeeme...  [Read More]

I don't really understand the need of killing him. Isn't it a bit too sweet? I'd rather have him rot at the bottom of the hole he was captured in. Surely, those who want "justice" must prefer having him suffer many years for what he did rat...  [Read More]

The only reason I posted that was because it sounded like some folks were thinking the US was involved (which would be natural, given our involvement there), when in fact it's the Iraqis who are taking responsibility for their own people. This is wh...  [Read More]

Folks, the Americans aren't imposing the sentence, the Iraqis are. They're the ones who tried and sentenced him, and the ones who will execute him. Don't accuse people against the death penalty of anti-americanism when the United States have not be...  [Read More]

What we should do: put him back in charge of Iraq, and let him clean up the mess. Now THAT would be punishment. Hehe, he might actually prove to be effective at the job....  [Read More]

Yes, it's possible, though I find it unlikely. I mean a single key on two computers seems a bit small to blacklist. You can always contact Petro and ask them about this....  [Read More]

I don't even think it's MP in general, but skirmish. I said that because I view skirmish as the MP part that was tacked on. To me, it feels like skirmish was only created to give MP a relatively well adapted game mode. At least, this is how I person...  [Read More]

I just can't see a dedicated skirmish community being established on a very large scale in multiple areas of the world, like a Starcraft (still going) or an AoE/C&C. I fully agree with you. The Total War Games are hugely popular yet in MP, they'...  [Read More]

This game isn't seen as a proper strategy game, so it doesn't get the big numbers. I like it, I'm a pretty huge SW fan, but I'm not going to pretend it's on the same level as Warcraft III or Age of Empires. Those games keep a healthy online community...  [Read More]
No idea, since I live in England in the UK. Although I hope it ain't Bush, like RC said. This has very little to do with Bush, at least directly. He's not running for president next week. The midterm elections are for the Congress and the Senate. B...  [Read More]

Two. I think they should make a New Republic expansion instead of Clone Wars, it'd be the first New Republic/Yuuzhan Vong game! Keep on topic. This isn't about another expansion, it's about suggestions that can fit into a patch....  [Read More]

You keep mentioning RPG examples. Only Windu up to now seems to come up with an RTS example of old campaigns playable in the expansion. Frankly, I've never seen it. Also, the new units wouldn't make sense in the old campaign. Its timeline stops at t...  [Read More]

I don't think it's unreasonable to remind people to be careful about how they post, particularly in threads with controversial topics. The particular religion thread in question did get rather inflammatory at one point. I don't mind debating my parti...  [Read More]

It all depends on how you formulate your reasoning in those threads. Many comes off as offensive because they don't document or support their arguments with anything else then childish bashing. That's what comes off as offensive. I frankly don't car...  [Read More]

How far do we go until someone says, "Stop." Regardless about your religious group, you should not have to defend your beliefs in these forums. I don't see what the problem is. If you can't defend your belief, it simply means that you don'...  [Read More]
