I re-scored the game music with collections from different movies. You know, just for the hell of it. The end effect came out much better than I expected. And of course, I use my own Merc Two-Pack mod, as well as new Force power sounds (I can't stan...  [Read More]
I know this'll sound insulting (and especially due to the fact that I know very little about modelling in general), but did you re-name the skins as well to compensate for the name change? Or is that not necessary? And when you do get the hang of it...  [Read More]

In the movies, the only place a Jedi couldn't reach you is in the air. They all had a tough time throwing their sabers, it seems......  [Read More]

This still doesn't explain the frequency of saber (and blaster) marks on models. They hapen FAR less frequently in the real game than they did in the demo. I hardly even see them anymore... Grrrr.......  [Read More]

The only move I know that usually instant kills is winning a saber lock. That's about it. And yes, the DFA red stance move appears to weaker than JO, at least in my experience. A well timed regular red side slash does more damage than the DFA. Red...  [Read More]
Originally posted by DeliriumenD Heat isn't the issue (though it has been an issue for me before) I have a good cooling system, and I can play other, graphic intensive games fine. Though I'll also look into it just in case. Heh, that's exactly wha...  [Read More]
Be sure your video card and/or CPU isn't overheating. I had a similar problem with any graphic intensive game. I took measures to ensure proper cooling, and I haven't had a freezing problem since. Don't roll your eyes and think you're imune to heat....  [Read More]

I use all three -- but I generally switch back and forth between dual and staff mostly for Jedi battles (depending on the threat assesment). But against troops, mere mortals, and small-time Jedi, I simply use the single saber to dispatch them....  [Read More]
Well, I appreciate the sentiment, Kurgan. But those skins are sooooooooooo old -- almost a week or two after the release of JO. Not sure if anyone will appreciate them anymore. Not sure if I should even bother at this point. But for the record, my f...  [Read More]
Originally posted by Kurgan Also, I tried out the Mercenary 2 Pack (a graphical replacement for Kyle & Jan) and it works (for spawning him and for him in the cutscenes in SP). Much better than his Bantha Herder outfit. ; ) I'm still pissed to...  [Read More]
With cheats activated (I think), type "thereisnospoon" in the console to rotate the screen for a complete 360 spin (exactly what happens when you kill a Jedi). Bind it to a key and you're all set....  [Read More]
Well, I have nothing to brag about, but this seems like as good as a place as any to place this pic. http://smrti.xwlegacy.net/marakyle.jpg I dunno. I thought it looked pretty badass. I was playing around with npcs fighting a mutant rancor. Kyle an...  [Read More]

The closest I've gotten was to go into all the NPC files and change the all dismemberment probabilities to 100%. Well, they still don't dismember all the time, but I now can sever them at the head, waist, and legs. But it's only one sever per charact...  [Read More]
Well hey, I appreciate the appreciations. ;-) I just wish there was a way to link the timing to specific frames in the character animation instead of a static timer. Hopefully, the GDK will give us the tools to put something even neater and more co...  [Read More]
On the varrying wait times... I just figured it out. The wait time is constant. The actual precieved effect is based on your game performance. Example, the wait time will be much much faster if you're running at 30 fps instead of 20. And there's no...  [Read More]
It's actually real easy to do. I cant remember which asset file it's in (I think the first one), there's an entire directory called "ext_data." This contains most of the text-based editable data in the game (namely NPCs and Sabers). You sho...  [Read More]
Thanks. '-) Oooh, just a note. You'll have to re-download the hilts. I made a mistake -- the blades are longer than they should be, so I scaled them back to the original size. My bad. Just re-download and replace. Should work fine....  [Read More]
Okie dokie. Ladies and gentlemen, here you go. I played around with the saber configs, and you can now use saber staff hilts as single saber hilts. How does this work? Well for one, don't worry. This doesn't replace or modify existing hilts. The l...  [Read More]
These are some great binds, guys. Keep 'em coming! Another thing about the difference in timers.... It's mind boggling. At first when I imported the binds from my demo to the full game, the timers were off -- too fast. So I re-typed the binds and co...  [Read More]
If you mean in multiplayer, I think the server has to start with cheats activated. For single player, just type "devmap" in the console. To bring down the console, hit shift - ~. You should only have to activate cheats once per game sessio...  [Read More]
Why thank you, good sir. I just tried this out in the full game, and I noticed right off the bat that the timer in the full game is differnet from the demo. It's faster, so I've had to adjust the wait times accordingly to compensate. If I could get...  [Read More]
