Logging works fine. I am at work, so I am unsure which command I use in my server config file. Also, there is a wonderful stats package advertised in this forum. You can either set up a batch file or a cron job to automate the processing of the stats...  [Read More]

I run a 20 player CTF server over 1.2meg up/down DSL, and it seems to work great. If you only have 384 up though, you would probably want to keep your rate in the 7000 - 8000 range. Maybe even lower....  [Read More]

Make sure you get ahold of assets2.pk3, copy it over to your /base dir, make sure when you make this file transfer you use binary mode, and then make sure the .pk3 has correct permissions on it. It should work after that. Good luck!...  [Read More]

Hrm, that's really weird. I will check into it when I get home. I actually found 1.02c on an obscure ftp site last night, but because the site was so obscure, I wanted to compare it with another version to try to ensure what I had downloaded hadn't...  [Read More]

Well, I thought this patch was going to be better, and didn;t think about backing up my old linux 1.02c binary. Unfortunately, I absolutely hate 1.03, and want to revert my server back to 1.02. Anyone know where to get the old 1.02c binary? Thanks...  [Read More]

I was able to figure it out last night (with Matrix's help, as usual =) ) It was the way I copied the .pk3 over to my server box. I was lazy and didn't check whether it was ASCII or binary mode. Turns out it was the wrong mode. So, after re-copying...  [Read More]

Hrm, unfortunately, exactly what I was afraid of happened. I added the new .pk3, and installed the new 1.03 binary, and now everytime I start my server it goes through the loading process, then gives some Segmentation fault and the server crashes....  [Read More]
