No cheat for Darth Maul, sorry http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/frown.gif Perhaps someday... As for the lightsaber, I still like TPM, but I'm biased http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/wink.gif...  [Read More]

I'll tell you what I know...which isn't much. I'm not a programmer, and I'm not sure what encryption process the models/levels went through. Basically, the in-game models were created using the same process as Jedi Knight. We have .3DOs, .MATs and ....  [Read More]

That would break our agreement with Lucasarts. Since TPM is a Lucasarts product, and also since LA has half-ownership of the tool we created to build TPM with, any mods to TPM would need to be authorized by LA. Believe me, I wish it weren't so. I'v...  [Read More]

Some of the AI stuff turned out a lot better than we expected; but some of it just didn't turn out well at ALL. The Queen on the Escape from Theed level turned out to be a nightmare...some of the limitations of the code were already well in place bef...  [Read More]

This forum has died down, so I wanted to talk to those of you who still check it from time to time http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/smile.gif TPM has basically been laid to rest; Lucasarts apparently has no intention of releasing any kind of patches...  [Read More]

Opposite the red circle door, there is a hallway that slopes down. Follow the hallway into another room, with 3 pillars, a pushblock, and a glass-covered floor area with a corresponding green circle below. What you have to do is push the block to eac...  [Read More]

Argath is correct. The levels weren't built in MAX, they were constructed using our own proprietary tool. Without a copy of the tool, I honestly don't know how anyone could modify the levels. The tool cannot import or export any geometry, save the ch...  [Read More]

The best you could hope for, honestly, is to swap out characters. The .BAF character files are based upon the same .3DO and .KEY file system as JK, with only a few additions made. They are stored in a file format that has sound triggers and separate...  [Read More]

That thing is kind of...well... unauthorized. We used it in-house as a test for our... unauthorized... multi-player version. (I'm getting in real trouble here with you fans, aren't I?) It's against the terms for me to distribute it publicly....  [Read More]

There's absolutely nothing out there...Lucasarts decided that TPM was to be a stand-alone product. The only patch takes care of a problem with the program launcher with DirectX 7....  [Read More]

Try looking in the spa. As you go around Espa towards the Slave Quarters, you'll see two Eopies (camel-looking things being led by Jawas). Keep going, and the first door you see on the left past the Eopies should be where Jar-Jar is. This is assuming...  [Read More]

Again, it's probably terminal, because TPM requires a LOT more processing capacity than Racer or RS. The AI routines in TPM eat up a lot of processing speed - basically, well over 200 AIs per level have to be processed simultaneously. Racer is more a...  [Read More]

It's the P200 that's killing your framerate then, not the video card. I have the same problem at home. I too have a P1-200mhz with 48mb RAM on my home machine, and I had a Voodoo1 card on there originally. Since TPM ran like a dog on it, I upgraded t...  [Read More]

Believe it or not, we're still running the original Monster Voodoo1 cards from Diamond. I'm running the game on a PII-266mhz, and while it does indeed slow down from time to time, overall the Voodoo1 does a nice job....  [Read More]

Yep, I loaded TPM and started playing it again...wow. After watching it on the Playstation for several months, it sure is nice to see it in high-res on the PC. Boy, what I wouldn't have given to do a Dreamcast port of it. In addition to fixing some o...  [Read More]

ACK - the infamous "pillar" puzzle on Otoh Gunga. Wow. Would it surprise you to know that a big reason why TPM was panned so much by the critics is because many of them gave up there, and reviewed the game as if they finished it? I've had s...  [Read More]
