Thanks. Qualitywise they are equally "meh". While the VHS tapes suffer from the usual analogue softness and interferences, the streams show compression artifacts and lower resolution. So, still enough reasons for a DVD-release. By the way...  [Read More]

Anybody able to make a few screenshots of the episodes at full size? I have the available VHS-tapes, and I'd like to know how the quality of those GameTap-streams holds up. Given that they'll (hopefully) show the episodes that are missing from the ta...  [Read More]

Yeah, but given that GamtapTV is just a broadband-video service, I assume the video quality wouldn't be much better than YouTube. So even if those suckers were available outside of the US, I wouldn't PAY for a lousy video-stream. We want an official...  [Read More]

I think with the kind of 20s style private eye type that Sam represents, Michael Land pretty much nailed it with his jazz and bigband motifs from "Hit the Road". That, combined with stuff matching their current situation (taking HTR as an e...  [Read More]

Being a German myself I have (almost) stopped bothering about stuff like this. It happens A LOT in movies as well, and I think it's just ridiculous. How hard can it be to get someone who KNOWS German? I mean, there are a lot of Germans in America, s...  [Read More]

Good idea(s), ElTee... yet, I'll post my results right now ;) Here are some full-res samples of the upscaled MI2-artwork (the JPEG-compression blurred the texture a little bit): http://www.imagebanana.com/img/08wmh4es/thumb/mi2_a.jpg (http://www.im...  [Read More]

Those scans are really great! Finally I've managed to upscale a descent MI2-scan to at least 45 x 60 cm. I've faked detail with a few filters and by overlaying a texture. I'll post some images (and maybe the whole big thing itself) when I get home....  [Read More]
