In 20-30 years it will be unlikely that technology will still support the discs ANY game came out on today. Unless you mean find an old dustbucket computer and run it on that. but I find this unlikly as well as it's pretty hard to get some of those o...  [Read More]

I think the ships in perhaps an instanced hangar of some kind. If half the player world is going to use it, then you have to make it pretty impersonal, because you're not going to feel like it's "your place" when 70 people are all heading f...  [Read More]

There is Dragon Speak Naturally for voice-typing already on the market. :) my mom had it. Don't have an accent. Don't have a cold. Don't have anyone in the room. Don't breathe, don't put on music, don't have noise outside. It's a horrible program, i...  [Read More]

Even if the new Sith Lord is named "Naga Sadow" that doesn't necessarily mean that they actually are. It could just as easily be some new Sith lord playing the part to get the Sith under his control....  [Read More]

I wouldn't mind a "random encounter" where you shoot at incoming ships like we did in K1 and K2, but I really don't want crazy fancy space combat where I actually have to figure out how to fly around in "space"....  [Read More]

Yet, didn't Dutch law pretty much give a pass on caring about software pirates? I have to admit I question the sanity of somebody who would assault and threaten to kill a kid over video-game junk. I hope they get in trouble for more than just "...  [Read More]

In addition to different races, I would really like to see something done with humans other than making them the vanilla that the other flavors are compared to. Maybe make slight variations depending on which planet you start on in order to reflect d...  [Read More]

I just want them to have an actual, fully customizable character creation system. I don't want to select my appearance out of 20 predetermined portraits... which is exactly what you will be doing. The engine they're using is not setup for an Oblivio...  [Read More]

Based on the storyline though, perhaps the actual Sith species will be playable for the first time ever? Probably restricted to Sith Empire/Dark Side for faction and alignment though. I was under the impression that the "true sith" were no...  [Read More]

Note: this is SPECULATION only. Educated guesses, uneducated guesses, pure wishmaking if you want. One of WoW and Warhammer's distinctive features is racial differentiation, something Guild Wars does not do. If you're not familiar with either of the...  [Read More]

it was a joke, but now that you bring that up.... how exactly would the constant struggle against your Sith associates work when everyone respawns? You might beat one guy in a fair fight, beat a second, and then all of a sudden out of nowhere the fi...  [Read More]

Yes, I've actually generally felt the entire Old Republic has been far too "advanced" for it's time. Sure, ships are smaller and not as powerful, but they just seemed out of place. I mean, this is 3500-4000 years before "modern" t...  [Read More]

If this game was free, I wouldn't play it. If I have to buy an expansion every 3-6 months or "The Old Republic 2" (like Guild Wars), I wont be playing it. People need to realize what exactly they're paying for when there's a subscription co...  [Read More]

A lifetime membership would be acceptable, though depending on the cost I find it unlikly I, or anyone, would really be able to afford it, if we go by WoW's pricing, that's $130 for a year, and I can't imagine a lifetime membership costing much less...  [Read More]

Exactly what Guild Wars attempts to pull off, just with a smaller budget. So far, for them, it works pretty well. Which is fine, but I wish they'd stop touting it as an MMO. WoW is an mmo because every minute of the game you spend in the Massivly Mu...  [Read More]

What I don't understand is that if they're essentially making this one of the most complicated RPGs ever, and I use RPG here because most of the game they're saying is with companions and not other people, then why make it an MMO? I mean, so far it s...  [Read More]

If you object to what I say, then why don't you try to convince me that TOR is better 300 years after KOTOR than 5-20 after TSL. Why would KOTOR fans be glad to know that the ending goes badly? It takes place long after K2 because K3 would HAVE to re...  [Read More]

The setting of the MMO is fine, but only fine for separating itself from the previous too games. It's far too far down the road to be a conclusive ending to the trilogy. I mean, would Return of the Jedi or Revenge of the Sith have felt like it conclu...  [Read More]
