You'll also need Microsoft's .NET Framework to work with KotOR Tool. I think that KotOR Tool provides a link to DL it. It's a lot of hoops to jump through, but KotOR Tool is well worth it, even if you aren't a modder (I'm not :) ). You'll see!...  [Read More]

It's an easy change. Just open the UTI file "g_w_lghtsbr008" from my Malak Improved Mod and change the model variation from 6 to 200. Hopefully people who are wondering about it are reading this. :D Cool. I thought that the fix would be pre...  [Read More]

I just downloaded WotOR and I was wondering if it would conflict with Shem's Malak Improved mod (a permanent addition to my K1 override folder), since it includes a new version of Malak's lightsaber. I'm sure that Shem would know since he beta-tested...  [Read More]

I'd LOVE to get me some broadband. Unfortunately, it's just not available where I live (yet). There's no cable. There isn't even any DSL access. This may change in the near future, however. I've even looked into satellite broadband, but it's outrageo...  [Read More]

I guess that I should have said this earlier. It's part of the Community Expansion Pack 2.0 (CEP2.0) for NWN1. It''s made to be DL'ed in parts for those of us who are "bandwidth challenged" (like me!). They are made to be combined, so you h...  [Read More]

Thanks for the quick response, Jmac. Unfortunately, it still asks if I want to overwrite when I try to extract both at the same time, with no indication of what I'm supposed to do, or whether the archives are or are not being combined in the process....  [Read More]

I've been using WinRAR for quite some time, but never before with divided archives (XXX.part1.rar, XXX.part2.rar). I know to put the two parts into the same folder and to extract part 1 first, but when I extract part 2 it asks if I want to overwrite...  [Read More]

Intel's mistake was that they stuck with Netburst (P4) as long as they did. They should have moved on sooner rather than continue to try to improve an architecture that was clearly a dead end. The fact that AMD is releasing K8L ASAP shows that they'r...  [Read More]

I'll get Vista when I build my new system. I'll upgrade to Office 2007 as well, since I can't live without Word and Excel! And you're right Astro: Machines with DX10 cards will make any console's graphics look cheap, making a DX10 card THE logical pl...  [Read More]

That article was a great find, Sabre. Looks like a single 8800GTX can outperform both Xfire and SLI setups of the previous generation in most cases, making it seem pretty cost-effective in comparison. Looks like ATI won't be releasing the R600 until...  [Read More]

I don't know a lot about laptops, but given the fact that O/Cing uses more power, it would seem that it wouldn't be practical because it would drain the battery that much faster. Out of curiosity, I would enter the BIOS just to check. Since almost al...  [Read More]
