Here's (http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=3092) one that uses a Barc to predict how the Phenom will perform. I really hope that this chip scales well, for the sake of competition and we the users. I will also say that while not ea...  [Read More]

Here it comes! (http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=6299) Needless to say: it's about friggen time, AMD! Can't wait for some benchies! Here's to hoping that it's the second coming of silicon (it'll practically have to be to effectively comp...  [Read More]

I'm not too sure about the 128-bit memory interface and using the 2600XT core though...A card like that is gonna be expensive as it is, so why limit it's capabilities by doing such things? Because it would take at least 60 amps to power it?:xp: Meh,...  [Read More]

Bauldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal -Demogorgon and Melissan- both very tough endurance-type fights where you'll probably run out of spells and you'll definitely have to use military tactics to beat them. But like tk102 said: with a party of 6 there a...  [Read More]

You should do what I did and look for a used 6600GT or 6800GT on Fleabay. From a reputable seller, of course. Either one would give you a terrific performance boost in older games and would even allow you to play some newer ones at low settings. And...  [Read More]

Unless you have a really crappy PSU you should be fine. And yes, those cards will probably require a 4-pin molex connection to your psu. If all of those are used up, you can get a splitter pretty cheap....  [Read More]

Sorry that I haven't kept up with this thread lately, NS. My bad.:( To answer your question about a cheap AGP vidcard upgrade I would look at both ATI & Nvidia from two generations ago, namely the ATI X800/X850 series, and the Nvidia 6600GT/6800...  [Read More]

More than wattage you need to find out how many amps are available on the 12V rail. That matters more than the total wattage. I don't know how many either card would require, but their being higher-end ATI I would venture a guess of at least 30A....  [Read More]
