You play games with your antivirus running? You should clean boot your system before you run any games. I even do it with ancient games like Baldur's Gate 2....  [Read More]

The next step would be to reinstall the drivers for your sound and video cards. Make sure that you use Driver Cleaner Pro (http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=745) when doing so. That worked for me when I had this problem....  [Read More]

^^^ That's not bad at all. I'll look into it. EDIT: I checked and it's a little more expensive here, but not too much. The lowest tier is $55, the middle is $70 and the top is $90. Equipment is $250 and installation is free. Now to decide if I reall...  [Read More]

Is the problem that you're too far out from a provider? You could opt for a Sat connection or an internet connection card that uses your cell phone carrier. The Sat connection will be faster. They're both still kind of expensive. Entry level price...  [Read More]

Hit the nail on the head for the reason for the higher gasoline prices. 1. Oil companies and Chaney have secret meeting. 2. Administration policy becomes opening up the Alaska National Wildlife Reserve to exploration. 3. Congress does not approve p...  [Read More]

There's been an uber-high bandwidth (as in ~8GB/sec) successor to the current internet in the works for quite some time now (since the 90's I think). It is already being utilized by the military and several universities here in the U.S. AFAIK. I don...  [Read More]

Well, here (http://anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/intel/showdoc.aspx?i=3326) is the first concrete preview of Intel's new Nehalem architecture. Looks like it will be as much of an advance over Core2 as Core2 was over Netburst....  [Read More]

Well, I've been hearing bits and pieces about Nvidia's upcoming GT200. I'm not going to quote any sources because it's all unsubstantiated crap like Fudzilla and the Inquirer, both of which are about as reliable as a $2.00 watch. ;) The buzz that's...  [Read More]

I don't think it's going to be much of a tour de force because Nvidia's upcoming GT200 will probably spank it, but as long as it keeps DAAMIT competitive with Nvidia, it's still good news....  [Read More]

It's lackluster Official Campaign (yes, it SUCKED) and horrendous graphics aside, after playing BG2 I found NWN1 a real letdown. Not in the least because of the smaller party size (three at the most -WTH?) and the severe limitations (when compared to...  [Read More]
