are you absolutley certain that C:\progra~1\raven\stvef\baseef/maps/firstlevel.map exists. make sure that your .map is in that location. also it's best to stick to the dos standard of 8 letters and no spaces for your mapnames. try calling it level1.m...  [Read More]

there are a couple of ways to fix this. 1. you can edit the .qe4 file (it's just a text file) and change every instance of -qdir 'STARTR~1' to something that is in the path to where you have EF installed. eg if you have Ef installed in to c:\games\ra...  [Read More]

i'd agree with UniKorn but add the following. make sure you learn to use detail brushes and caulking from day 1. it will make it a lot easier for you to compile the maps and make them more playable. also don't start to use the CSG tools as they can e...  [Read More]

you can use GTKradiant to map for EF and as unikorn pointed out it's better than efradiant in some aspects. (mulitple single face texture selection and rotations spring to mind.) as for using it for JKII then also yes. the .def files probably won't b...  [Read More]

from my experience (mapping for another q3 based raven game elite force) i'd say the claudec's lair site linked to above is the best mentioned. also efmodcentral.com has tutorials and Q&A (which i do :) ) that are informative....  [Read More]
