Thank you!!! I've been waiting for someone to do this and don't have enough "know - how" of my own to make it happen. Great mod idea. now if I could just figure out how to squeeze out a little better performance from my computer....  [Read More]

This is borderline a technical issue but since I only have this problem in land battles I put it here. I still can't figure out how to pitch the camera up and down in land battles. You can do it in space battles no problem by holding ctrl + mouse bal...  [Read More]

MistenTH, Again, very good mod. Can you tell me where in the XML to change the speed of unit movement between planets on the galactic map? I want to change it back to the normal speed. I haven't quite gotten used to the slowed down speed you modded...  [Read More]

I really like what you have done with reconfiguring the resilience of capital ships and the altering of the abilities of fighters, medium sized ships and superweapons. On the other hand, I'm not interested in any of the new units or anything like tha...  [Read More]

speaking of lagging mods has anyone experienced very slow/laggy game play on the ground battles with the Bryant mod? It seems to get worse when I zoom down to ground level. Also, is it possible to pitch the camara up and down during a ground battle l...  [Read More]
I agree that it is difficult to effectively command your units with these limiting camera zoom levels. I also experience severely slow framerates the more I zoom in on ground battles. On this note, I have another concern. I can rotate the camera le...  [Read More]

While I agree that the integrated intel card is not ideal for this game I have found a way to improve its performance and mine doesn't crash when trying to play the land battle in the demo. The rest of my computer is quite suited for the game though...  [Read More]

vader815, I have the same video card you do and the same message popped up for me when I tried to start the game. It asked if I wanted to continue anyway, so of course I hit yes. THe demo worked but you have to turn the graphics down to medium level...  [Read More]

Thanks. Already bought the 1GB. It seems to have increased frame rate and performance quite a bit. Although, I'm still getting very choppy play on the ground battles. This kind of worries me too because the battles I've had have not been that big. I'...  [Read More]

Thanks for the advice. So getting more ram will make the game run smoother even with the integrated Intel card? I have two 256mb cards (one is replacable). will replacing one of these with a 512mb ram card (resulting in 768mb total) be enough to impr...  [Read More]

It appears that I only have one point on the bottom of my notebook where I can replace, not add, a RAM expansion chip. So does this mean that if I buy a 1Gig RAM upgrade it will be replacing my 512mb ram card or adding on to it? Either way, I should...  [Read More]

CIA, you may experiance a performance boost but that ram wouldnt improve the texture quality/special effects youd see. Thanks for the info. I can live with less than complete textures but I can't deal with slow frame rates and choppy game play so I...  [Read More]

My laptop (Intel graphics card) has 480mb ram. So if I expanded the RAM with another 512 or 1Gig can I expect better performance? I'm sure this is a no s*** question but I'm not that knowledgeable about computers. Thanks....  [Read More]

I apologize if this has been answered in other threads but I looked around and couldn't find an answer. I have fairly new Gateway laptop which meets all requirements of the game except the T&L capability. It has one of those, not so spectacular,...  [Read More]
