Imo, The Force Unleashed is a collection of forced clichés in a canon-raping story. It's a good game, don't get me wrong. But it has nothing the old trilogy has. I don't think it gets much love from the first-hour fans. I mean....cloning, Vader,...  [Read More]

Doubt it. Ever played NWN? :migraine: I'll expect them to make an average RPG, which is what they've been good at for awhile. But that's the problem, they make average games, nothing spectacular, such as Obsidian and KotOR II. Ever hear of Baldur's...  [Read More]

Meh. I'm more of a RP kind of guy who likes to throw PvP into the mix. For me, end game raiding is a game killer. Once everyone gets there, suddenly none of your friends are around because they are always raiding. The end game is what made me quit Wo...  [Read More]

I seriously doubt that Lucas Arts would allow player action to affect canon. It would be like canonizing fanfics. Besides, what if there are multiple servers? Which one is canon?...  [Read More]
Not every movie, Episode II, and V largely did not feature much space combat that was of any significance. II less so that V. But, every movie does start out in space with a ship flying across the screen or sending out probe droids. The Millenium Fa...  [Read More]

Actually, I don't like the idea of cities. I thought they cluttered up SWG's landscape. And I would say limit the larger ships to guilds, and even then only one per guild. Maybe give smaller guilds yachts or corvette class warships and larger guilds...  [Read More]

OK, so let's make an assumption, for the purpose of this dicussion, that there will be ships in game. Space combat or merely for travel. Doesn't really matter. Does anyone else think it would be a good idea to be able to have a guild owned ship that...  [Read More]

Just out of curiosity what are some of these "much better ways" that are so good that they must replace rather than stand along side of crafting? I hardly see crafting(when well implemented) as a dead end. Besides, I haven't seen any method...  [Read More]

I'd hate to have to craft something to get to another level. You could always buy what others craft. That would be the point of a crafting driven economy....  [Read More]

Yeah, that doesn't sound good. Not everyone wants to be a hero. There are certainly people that judge a game primarily by its crafting system, and while I am not one of them I see no reason to exclude them from the game. I don't see much depth in t...  [Read More]

OK, so I figure this is a rather big issue for some people, I thought I'd get the ball rolling. What are your thoughts on crafting? What do you think the main purpose of it should be in TOR? How do you think it could best be implemented in order to m...  [Read More]

In addition to different races, I would really like to see something done with humans other than making them the vanilla that the other flavors are compared to. Maybe make slight variations depending on which planet you start on in order to reflect d...  [Read More]

The best plots and dilemmas are usually not huge overarching epics like Luke's story as the last of the Jedi. They are generally more personal than that and the effects that they have on the world around the people involved are incidental. Not everyo...  [Read More]

so far, the proxies I've tried to use just redirect to the main filefront page when I try to download. jmac7142: I'd have to get my wife to translate that. I can read hiragana with some effort, but I'm lost when it comes to kanji....  [Read More]

I think that Ep 1-3 had a deeper plot and a more complicated character development than 4-6 or KOTOR (KOTOR's plot twist wasn't all that complex, though it had a charming Shyamalan quality to it). There are two reasons it failed to impress(three if y...  [Read More]

Lucas may not have believed he would be able to make a sequel at the time, but it can hardly be said that, at least on some level, he didn't have plans for one. I don't imagine there are too many intentional one-offs that have the main villain surviv...  [Read More]

IMO, that wouldn't rate a sequel, seeing as sequels are supposed to be the continuation of a story, not an entirely new one. Besides, the Revan story isn't entirely finished. We still have only suspicions and guesses as to what Revan was trying to do...  [Read More]

OK, here's my list of things to put in... 1)Bring the game a bit closer to the RPG in terms of rules I'm thinking of the kind of parallel that NWN and sequel draw to D&D. It wouldn't be too difficult, as much of it would simply be alterations o...  [Read More]
