I know it's quite early to be thinking of this sort of thing, but considering how PO'd I was when I first heard about it, I've grown to become quite excited about this game - despite my general loathing of MMOs.
Has anyone else decided on a screen-name they'll use in the game? I was contemplating using The Doctor there, as well, though I don't s'pose that's a name per se. I've yet to decide between it, Ahmahl Kotay, and Tawnos Rashel.
Anyone else out there thinking of names, or am I the only one thinking so very far ahead?
Heh, you aren't the only one. I've been thinking of getting Miltiades in my name, but it doesn't really fit, I think. So I was going for something shorter, but still recognizable, with the surname being Miltias. So... Bendo Miltias, Vinto Miltias, Arnor Miltias or something like that.
Still not perfect, but I'll get it right some day. :)

I've often thought about the name I would use in any RPG-type thing. I really doubt SW01 would work!
I think I'll be going with 'Firmus Neraw'. I've used it in a few Roleplays and recently in KotOR. So look out for a terrified Sith officer cowering in a corner with that name - that'll be me! :lol:

Well, I haven't decided what I'm using as a first name, but the last name will definitely be Kaltas. I used that in Kotor, as well as my main character's famil name in my Sith Resurrection series, who are descended from Revan. I know, a bit pretentious, but oh well. That being said, I can't use the names Kale, Owen, Alkonium, Komad or Andros.

I am hoping they do put some reasonable restrictions on names like no numbers and only the 1st letter can be capital, they even have those in WoW. That will not stop people from spelling Revan wrong though. :)

I am of the same mindset. I've got a specific idea how I want to handle names for my characters and lots of names I've come up with but it's way too early to make them public. My name choices will also depend on how many characters I'll be able to have for my account and of course if BioWare puts some rules around what they will and won't allow in a character name then some of my ideas for names may not work.

Lacking any real name plans I always use Darkkender in game. However I do have a variety of standby names I use that have the creative flare in mind.
Since this game has a story and our characters will be characters in this world, i'm going to make a name as Star Wars as possible. A name that sounds like it has a backstory...

I logged into swg yesterday (all accounts open for free for a month) to check out the poodoo, and there was a city called "One Hot Sausage for you sir"... this is why swg players latching on to this game scares me :(
I always try to come up with Star Warsy names. Unique, and I develop a back story for them. A back story that DOESN'T include major characters.
As for city names, I actually got mad at one of our mayors for changing the name of a city to Wookiee Luv. The guild Leader agreed, and it got changed back to Renegade Island.
If i can be a rodian i have a couple of nice names in mind though posting them on a public forum for all to see is not my thing.
