I guess maybe I didn't explain that very well. My issues weren't actually related to learning- more like learning to figure out why it wouldn't install properly on my system. That kind of technical crap bores me to tears. I'll probably not bother unt...  [Read More]

1. There IS mouselook in JK2 Rad. Why doesn't anyone know this? 2. Gensurf works just fine with JK2 Rad also. 3. JK2 Rad allows you to select single brushes from a group or entity! Just hit Alt+Shift and click the brush you want. Just wanted to cl...  [Read More]
Yeah I was a bit thrown by that "scripts" thing too, but looked at a few Q3 maps and realized that it was where the .shader file was kept. So this common/terrain shader exists in Quake III?...  [Read More]
Man, that looks great. I have read a little about this in one of the EasyGen manuals. After seeing this screen, I'm dying to redo some of the exteriors of my map. Did you use EasyGen for this? Expect more pestering to come......  [Read More]

FYI: Gensurf works just fine with JK2 Radiant. Just install it into a "Plugins" folder, then select it from the "Plugins" menu. Nice map Wedge. Good mood lighting....  [Read More]

From my experience so far with Q3ase, I think its a shame Raven didn't just make a JK2-friendly version of it. It's really easy to use, and I can make and quickly preview some relatively advanced stuff for Q3. Its just that it cocks up my JK2 stuff....  [Read More]

Yeah, I am using ambient lighting still. It's the only way I am able to decrease the starkness of the shadows. I was hoping it would come off as "dusty" lighting. It's set at 50 now I think. After I play it tonight on the other monitor we'l...  [Read More]
