Happy 2007 everyone! I agree with raz, more importantly we need the community to get together and stop bickering like kids. I admit I'm guilty of it too, and I feel it's time to put our efforts together. Beta tester or not, criticism is important, b...  [Read More]

Lucasarts should really help the community out a bit more, and then at the same time re-release the game again. That should help boost sales and help them on their cash milking crusade Anyway, Ebay's a good place. You can transfer the game too, I'm...  [Read More]

Hi I'm just messing around with the scripts (not ICARUS) in JKA. Which is the file I should be looking for if I want to change the bots' favourite sabers? I checked botfiles, but it doesn't seem to be in there...  [Read More]

1. Laming is just being a lamer, ruining the fun for others. Of course, the definition of 'fun' is purely subjective. Some may consider 'fun' to be getting the highest number of kills. Others' 'fun' is to join a server and talk about everyday life. A...  [Read More]

For mods, check out Open Jedi Project Enhanced 0.0.9b (http://jediknight2.filefront.com/file/Open_Jedi_Project;64886). It almost changes all of the saber combat system (put in the reviewers' words: no more hack'n'slash). The downside is that there ar...  [Read More]

Yeah I hate JKA's too Technically, it would be possible just by extracting assets0.pk3/gfx/hud, then stuff it into a pk3, then extract assets1.pk3/ui/hud.main and copy that into JKA's I'm not familiar with how things are arranged, so I'm just guess...  [Read More]

That reminds me, I'd really love to see the combat system to be similar to OJP's in JK4 too As well, while reborns are fun to fight, they get boring in the long run. Saber duels need to be made unique, not something that occurs once every 10 minutes...  [Read More]

That's what I'm talking about - they work like the physics in almost any other game. The huge difference is that nearly everything can be picked up and moved about Crap (ragdoll) physics, off the top of my head, would be uh...Thief 3 and Deus Ex 2,...  [Read More]

Mr No One, sorry I tried my best, my eyesight even went up by 50 degrees in doing so. Unfortunately, I saw no mention on lucasarts.com Oh yeah, if there ever was a JK4, hopefully it'd be on the Doom 3 engine. Specular mapping would make for some awe...  [Read More]

Thanks. However, most trailers out there do contain music from Jedi Academy one way or another, as well as sounds. It's rare that casual gamers who want to record their games eg. duels, will want to turn off the music. How come that isn't plagiarism?...  [Read More]

I never understood why saber clashes have sparks. I always thought sparks are a by-product of extreme heat and metal, not 2 extremely hot energy fields In any case, if you're looking for something else to replace sparks, I'd suggest SanJ's Movie Eff...  [Read More]

Hey I think I can help out. With co-op mode available for OJP, I'm thinking of doing some things: 1) A new campaign, preferably one that involves RPG-esque gameplay 2) Doing a .pdf (Acrobat Reader) manual for OJP Enhanced. I can do this in my free t...  [Read More]
