I actually feel asleep briefly watching The Phantom Menace in theatres (ah the draining life of a grad student). Luckily it was my 4th time seeing it so I had no problems following the story when my mind snapped into place. Mez1109, why are you buyi...  [Read More]

Ditto, I used them move them about for ore/nova facilities and for forward movements. They also work fairly well if you can stick them with a jedi master or so and you want to start converting buildings... like shield generators... Kryllith...  [Read More]

True, course they did do a bit of fighting in the Battle for Naboo game. Maybe there would be a number of smaller missions (getting the queen out of the city, capturing the viceroy, attacking the control ships, rallying up commanders to join with the...  [Read More]

Yeah. I always felt that if they were going to give the Wookies their own campaign then they should have used the Naboo for the training campaign. Guess it's up to us to make a naboo campaign. Kryllith...  [Read More]

If I'm not mistaken, the air cruiser speed upgrade is also supposed to increase the rate of fire slightly, which is handy given how long it takes for their cannon to reset. Kryllith...  [Read More]

What's interesting is if you play SWGB for a few months then switch back to AoK/AOC. Man... I really wish the Chinese had invented shield generators... Kryllith...  [Read More]

One thing I love about jedi is their ability to convert shield generators (especially if you have a power droid, workers to build a power core, or a second jedi to convert a core). Gives your Jedi shields on top of the regenning hps and makes it a lo...  [Read More]

I've not played the Confed that much (only in the scenarios) but I don't think they are that bad. I do think that the delayed tech for the creatures is pretty sad though. If they were available earlier (T2 & T3 or T1 & T2 instead of T3 &...  [Read More]
Yeah, I'd have to agree with that. I used a lot of bombers (still do) before CC simply because they were great at wiping out buildings. The cruisers work well on tightly packed buildings since you can (and in that case are better than bombers), but t...  [Read More]
Considering the slower speed, much higher cost, and later development of the cruisers, I'd say the bombers still play a crucial role if you like playing air (like I do). It's always good to be able to destroy some power cores, animal shelters, and th...  [Read More]
Not sure what all you can do in the first situation, except perhaps keep them grouped closer together. What you might want to do is set them to follow or guard each other. This can work rather well in the second scenario. Stick your AA's to follow/gu...  [Read More]

I was actually hoping that Lucas Arts would make Hutts a Civ and allow them to have Rancors as one of the units. Heck, could make it Fortress unit and then make an armoured Rancor (like the one in Star Wars: Demolition) as an upgrade. I figured Hutts...  [Read More]

I love using mass shielded droideka, especially before they received a penalty against attacking buildings (they are still good in mass, just takes a bit longer). Whenever I mass them, I also bring along 5-10 AA artillery and a collection of fighters...  [Read More]
