I compare KotOR and JA regularly, as they are my #1 and #2 all-time favorite games, respectively. KotOR is set at a time of epic galactic expansion, where the *current* fate of the galaxy is hanging in the balance (as witnessed by the ending(s)). J...  [Read More]

Originally posted by Siv it was more the hype factor. review-wise it got what it derserved, but it was over-hyped pre-release. So it fit right in with the (crappy) movies? 2003 was not kind to the Matrix, IMO. I just hope it doesn't trash the legacy...  [Read More]

OK, say that 'Y' is the game you're *supposed* to like, and 'X' is basically the same genre, lower-ranked game - but *you* like 'X' better. Add it here ... Mike...  [Read More]
OK, I'll do mine: - Half-Life - I just never connected. - Call of Duty - sure it was good, but also very short, with no plot - Halo - maybe it rocked in 2001 ... it felt tired in 2003 ... and I felt it was obvious that they stretched it to be longer...  [Read More]
Originally posted by Siv enter the matrix, it was fun and it integrated well with the movies, but they really should have done better. they missed a golden opportunity to make a kick ass game, i still liked it though. But did anyone actually (offici...  [Read More]
Originally posted by Astrotoy7 Mike, this is a very subjective thing you are requesting. Absolutely - that is what is fun! My thesis is this - there are PC games that are regarded as 'some of the best ever' - but that you didn't like. Name them. Or...  [Read More]
OK, here's the thing - we are always seeing 'top 10' this or that ... best of 2003, 2002, 2001 and so on, occasionally the 'top 25 all-time' or whatever. My thought is this - since we've been told what we *should* like as our top whatever number of...  [Read More]

OK, so everyone and their brother has taken the obligatory shot at the 'greedo shoots first' change that they *don't* want to see. But what changes *do* you want to see? Personally I'd love to see (in RotJ) two things that speak to Luke's developme...  [Read More]

But you can get decent lighting in JA from the saber - unlike in JKII, which was wrong, IMO. JK was a bit over the top, JA was more like EpII in the lighting regard. In fact, I could easily see a Dooku vs. Anakin style showdown in JA. Poor JK. Right...  [Read More]

Actually some good thoughts, Xemoka - not that I agree with all of them, but what does that matter ;) I think one clear thing - the whole SP vs. MP thing. Personally I don't care *AT ALL* if JKII or JA had no MP component. Sure, I've played it - bu...  [Read More]
