*THIS POST CONTAINS A SOMEWHAT DISCREET AND INDIRECT MENTION OF A VERY BIG SPOILER THAT YOU'LL KILL ANYONE WHO SPOILS YOU UNWILLINGLY FOR! PLEASE NOTE THAT MY POST DOES NOT CONTAIN SAID SPOILER. IT MERELY HINTS AT IT, AT ONE OF THE PEOPLE INVOLVED AN...  [Read More]
Yeah, this is awesome! It finally gives us insight into the upgrade system (it's a shame they didn't even enter the lightsaber customization menu to show us how it's laid out) and more of their level design which is looking very varied and creative....  [Read More]

Considering the game and novel are both originally written in English, I'd say Galen Marek. Last time I heard, the game doesn't actually have that name in it. They only threw it into the novel to give the author more stuff to play with....  [Read More]

I say the PSP version looks great. It'll be nowhere near as good an experience as the PS360 version, but it'll definitely be a great PSP game. It's a shame there'll only be 5 Historic Missions though. Those are the main reason I'll get the PSP versio...  [Read More]

The thing is that you really need to learn how to use them. You can flick the stick just a little to make the object you're lifting move slightly in that direction. If you release the right trigger while it still retains its speed in any direction (m...  [Read More]

Well, I've now been playing the demo and killing myself at the last part of the stage over and over for up toward an hour. Going back down (heck, you can just jump down and land on the lower platforms if you wish) and even all the way back to the doo...  [Read More]

An even easier way to get to it is to go up the elevator and jump from the right branch of the pathway leading to the AT-ST. It's actually quite easy to get there that way ^^...  [Read More]

If I do that to a Rebel Soldier, however, it can take upwards of twenty. I even sat back and watched a squad of about five Stormtroopers take on a Rebel and the Rebel beat them after being shot at least a dozen times. The Rebellion is supposed to be...  [Read More]

My only complaint is that the demo was short. Otherwise, the demo was even better than I expected it to be. I couldn't imagine they'd get the Force Grip controls down so well. When you've learned how to use it, it's probably the best controller layo...  [Read More]

I wrote them over here (http://aku-gaming.blogspot.com/2008/08/star-wars-force-unleashed-demo.html) I wish people would stop talking about Jedi Outcast btw. It's starting to get about as annoying as everyone constantly complaining about the lack of...  [Read More]

In the Jedi Knight games, many enemies also had sabers, and therefore were harder to kill, and therefore died in one hit to prevent the game from being too difficult. Since it's not that easy to actually get a hit in, it only takes one to kill. In TF...  [Read More]

Do you have any real point when you constantly say that The Force Unleashed is an arcade game? What are you trying to prove? LucasArts will cash in nicely off this title, regardless of what die hard Jedi Knight fans feel.Oh well, at least hearing the...  [Read More]

Have all Jedi Outcast/Academy players forgotten that both games didn't actually allow you to use the saberrealisticcombat commands by default? You had to modify the experience the developers intended for the players to actually get dismemberment and...  [Read More]
There is more depth than that to the melee combat though. Just in the demo (and the full game is sure to have more through upgrades, as the devs have said), you can make up to a 4-hit combo. Pausing between the saber attacks will yield different att...  [Read More]

This realistic combat you speak of from Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy (they're both Jedi Knight-series games btw) is only available by using console commands. The game didn't make it behave like that by default. Oh and this game doesn't chop off li...  [Read More]

Aside from people underestimating the hardware of the consoles, the numbers actually can't be directly comparedto a PC when it comes to gaming since unlike PCs, this hardware is completely dedicated (and in many cases specifically adapted) to the gam...  [Read More]

Yeah, but the issue is that when they'd hit the limit for how much they can optimize, they'd end up having to downscale on euphoria and DMM (since both of these rely mainly on CPU rather than GPU) and it's not quite as simple as setting DMM to "...  [Read More]

Alright, time to start quoting half of the thread: Maybe then we'll get some nice dismemberment mods to make up for it lacking in the game. Unfortunately, that kind of mod would be extremely hard (or most likely completely impossible) to make. Unles...  [Read More]
