I think this comic is accomplishing its intent - provides backstory, little pieces at a time. It's not intended to be a full-blown comic series, so I don't expect it to be. That being said, I think it does accomplish a lot of story in just 3 pages p...  [Read More]

While I may have reservations about the game (this will be my first MMO too), i'd much rather reserve judgement until after i've played it. At first I wanted it to burn, but now i'm looking forward to seeing what'll come out of it, good or bad. I'm...  [Read More]

I was attempting to see if the text the characters are speaking also shows up in readable format on the screen somewhere - I thought I saw it at one point but most of the clips went by too fast to really tell. I prefer having the subtitles there as s...  [Read More]

I'm pleased with the UI from what I can tell so far - it seems unobtrusive and still functional. Like PastramiX I'll wait to reserve judgment until I can actually play....  [Read More]

I see what you're saying now - Zayne looks like a totally different character at the point I'm at now, and both Jarael and Camper are more cartoonish. I guess it doesn't bother me a ton - I mostly care about the story - but I didn't recognize Zayne a...  [Read More]

Omnibus wasn't the correct word - just the first that came to mind. I meant to say I had purchased Volumes 1-3. I can understand disappointment associated with KotOR game characters having some sort of backstory that isn't as interesting as the game...  [Read More]

I just started reading the KotOR comic book series this week - I found a good deal on the omnibus editions 1-3 and I'm roughly half-way through the first volume. Aside from not being an avid comic book reader, I don't know why I waited so long to sta...  [Read More]

Yeah, but with those you sometimes had to commit suicide to take out a guy who was stronger than you. The grenade hits him, and you.:xp: I pretty much never used grenades, so I never noticed that. When I did use them it was from a distance (aren't t...  [Read More]

I think I remember reading or hearing somewhere that the combat system will be similar to the KotOR and TSL combat systems, which do not require any button-mashing to be effective....  [Read More]

The best example of this is when the Unnamed Sith Lord hurls hislightsaber at the Unidentified Jedi - which the Jedi dodges, and the Sith Lord pushes him through a pile of rubble, while he was in mid-air. I thought it was Lord Angral - is that not c...  [Read More]

I have a hard time believing TSL-related content will be left out completely - I think it will be touched on at some point but probably won't be a major point in the story-line. To date I think it's been omitted because it's not yet relevant....  [Read More]

I agree with a lot of points on this thread... it would be cool to play as a Mandalorian but I'd almost rather just leave it as "untouchable" Playing as a Mandalorian just might make them less cool and/or mysterious. I'd still love it thoug...  [Read More]

The game, I'd imagine, would have an individual ending for your character, but you could keep going and playing afterwards. If you're concerned about how it (the war) actually ends canonically, read the Darth Bane novels by Drew Karpyshyn. I'll sur...  [Read More]

This is what I find conflicting from BioWare - how can the focus be on the story if there's no end to it? While the end isn't the entire story, it's certainly an important part. Even the Never-Ending Story had an end. I'm of course going to play TOR...  [Read More]

I have a question - maybe it's a dumb one - but I've never played an MMO so I'm a little concerned about some of its aspects. I've read several reviews online (and been all over SWTOR.com), all stating that this MMO is different because story is suc...  [Read More]

This will be my first MMO, which worries me. I have avoided them because I don't have enough time to dedicate to the game to justify a monthly payment to play it, plus I'm more into story than anything else when it comes to games. I've heard most MMO...  [Read More]

I've never played an MMO, so I don't know the ramifications of switching classes, but I do like this idea. Playing out the scenario, however, would lead me to think that while many people would start off being different classes (providing variety), e...  [Read More]

I like this idea, although I think it dilutes what it means to play a jedi/sith in the game to some extent. It might help to not dilute it if the force sensitivity for non-jedi/sith characters is limited to very minor influences in the force, rather...  [Read More]
