Agreed. Everybody be quiet, don't excite him further ;)
Thanks Master Qui-Gon, you are named correctly, you ARE a Jedi Master.
Jedi72,
Send me a private message with the email address where you want me to send the TPM attachment. I've got several things left to hammer out, but I'm pretty happy with it so far...
Zanzibar,
I keep getting a software message error when I try to send a PM.

Hey guys gimme a break it's my b-day today... Big ol' 21 years old
*drags him away by the ear* Perv...
Heh sorry... :)
Let's concentrate on TPM shall we? lol
"TPM Rules!"
SuperBuen out.
Zanzibar, what software did you use to make TPM? 3D Studio MAX, Maya, etc.?
I created all the models/anims in 3dsMax, versions 1.2 and 2. The textures were done by a lot of cropping of actual costume/prop photos from Lucasfilm in Adobe Photoshop 4 and then cleaned up in Dpaint.
The worlds themselves were built in a Big Ape-made proprietary tool, using a reusable-cube method to save poly memory. That same tool was used to create the worlds for Jedi Power Battles as well.
Well Mr. Zanzibar I must say you made a fine job... Just perfect! You RULE! PEDRO RULES! I RULE! WE ALL RRRRRRUUUUUUULLLLLLLLEEEEEE!!!
*ahem*
I'm okay, really.
*locks door... just in case*
In the level gardens of theed there is any way of rescuing the soldiers from the starfighter droid?
Yes, don't follow them in there ;)
Just one of our sick level designers making trouble. The starfighter droid is keyed to explode when Obi comes near, so yes, the only way to save the men is to not go near them.
What if you cheat and change into Qui-Gon? Will it still explode?
No :(
EDIT: Oops...heehee...I meant no, that wouldn't work :D :D

ROFL - I KNEW I shoulda said 'player' :)
Yes, when the PLAYER comes near, it explodes. Hell, if I released a Darth Maul playable character, it'd STILL blow up.

Then you can feel good about your accomplishment...possibly some bragging rights...but that's about it. We don't have any kind of 'all enemies killed' bonus.
ok. I did however kill ALL the battledroids. :D What happens if u get the queen to go under the bridge in that one area, and actually both of u survive it (the part where she's an idiot about wanting to go above, and ends up running into a droideka)
Garindan man I havin't seen you since like forever. What's new with you?
Zanz: Oh yah I have a question: What was the prize you gave out to Jedi### <-- insert number here...
Come on tell me I'm your biggest fan Zanzibar!!! Please you must!!!
I feel weird.
No more wierdness please. ;)

lol, very nice :)
You know, I'm sure if we put our minds together, we can find away around the LucasArts system and get this thing distributed without any trouble ;)
aw, man!!! I'm on my second way through tpm, and at the last elevator stage, which is EASY now, heh, u should've seen the last level w/the queen while i was playing it...i had 1/100 health, and kept using the 'naughty naughty' code, hey ,what else could i do!!!!!!
hey, zanz, i got a question:
//POKEY LIVES!!! YES!!! Who is pokey?
Pokey? NO clue...sounds like one of our programmers with a private joke.
I'm guessing it's that hard-to-catch rhino creature in the swamps. I got some screenshots if anybody want me to upload it, i'll gladly do it. :D
WHAT???? *cries* WHY DIDN'T MY BROTHER JUST LEAVE TPM ON THE COMPUTER INSTEAD OF JEDI KNIGHT SO I COULD'VE LOOKED MYSELF??? (btw he ALSO deleted all of my save games....darn him -_- )
ah, tpm is easy to beat, just get past otah gunga and it's a breeze. :D
<div align="Justify"><font color="green1">It wasn't supposed to be tough. It's not that kind of game.<font size="-2">

Hmm, been more than 5 days, wonder why this topic is still in the 'active'...
...but by posting this, I've updated it. ;)
BTW, pretty sure 'pokey' isn't the rhino critter on Swamp (that's called the Mott, which I built, textured and animated in about 3 hours from a 3-6am stint during crunch time, because we got word that they wanted more critters in the Swamp) - it's a private joke from one of our programmers...I'll ask him next time I get him online, he moved on to greener pastures.
On the Coruscant level couldn’t it have been more talking puzzles and stuff (that was my favorite aspect of episode I. That and the unending exploration is why Mos Espa was my favorite level.)? Just like how the Otah Gunga and Tatoonine levels didn't have much action unless you killed people, which could have been the same with Coruscant. I think it would have been much more fun talking with Yoda and the Jedi council and sneaking around in Palpatines bedroom.
(NOTE: I have the first Playstation version.) In the Gardens of Theed level, where the sheild generator is, you can tell there is a thermal detonator inside the generator but you can't get to it. (Its probobly adressed somewhere and i might have actually asked this question on some other forum.)
I just wanted to know if you had some comments about the beginning escape from theed level. There's more past the tank and droideka then in the other level beginnings that don't serve a real purpose so I blew up the tank and droid. Then I started to explore and of course that didn't work out very well.
I've never been able to figure it out. On Otah Gunga if you run past QG and JJ and kill some Gungans then Jar Jar runs around and says "yousa causin big fight, yousa berry bad" (I almost died laughing) and Qui-Gon turns on his lightsaber. My question is what is the thing that throws the thermal detonator, kills them, and ruins my fun?
On Escape from Theed where those two people run into a corner, were they meant to be impossible to save?
On the same level, is it an error where the one battledroid shoots a green laser?
Just something I thought was funny is how if you don't lower the bridge and destroy all the droids when you come back the Queen's under the bridge.
[ September 18, 2001: Message edited by: brashin99451 ]
There's no real trick to the escape from Theed level. You don't need to fight those guys, and if you walk too far, the Queen dies. So, don't walk too far. Yes, those two guys can be saved, but it's very hard and there's no point. The intention was, I believe, that they were supposed to get killed. Check out my site, if you want.
I don't know why the queen was under the bridge. I've never had that happen in the PSX or PC version.
Which battle droid is that?
I don't know who throws the detonator. Probably the same invisible guy that throws it in the Mos Espa level.
I think I know what thermal detonator you're talking about. I think it's a small med pack in the pc version. I never got it, but I didn't really try to either.
Wow, good Qs...(never did find the invisible guy tossing thermals ;) )
*bump*
Just thought I'd make my favourtie topic alive again! Or has Zanzibar left forever?
<div align="Justify"><font color="green1">I don't think so, it's just that no one's been posting.
And the fact that JK.net has been down for a week or two.
<font color="green1">Has it? I thought it was just my server or something.<font size="-2">
Zanzi better still be here demmit! :D *yells* Hellllloooooooo? Zaaaaannnnzzzziiibaaaaaarrr?
Could be he's working. Guy's gotta eat too ya know!
Kurgan
"Which battle droid is that?"
You know that room that you have to jump up to get into, and when you get in there's a dead guy laying on the floor and an astro droid running around? Well when you jump out of the window there's a battledroid walking and it starts shooting a green laser at you.
<div align="Justify"><font color="green1">Oh. No that isn't an error. The green laser has a different damage code than the regular laser. And it's actually a Gungan guard that throws the thermal detonator in the Otoh Gungah level.
So all you have to do is not die? On level 1 I never die, but I always get a 4 why is that????
I am a guy dying to know!!!!
About Maul I have found that at the very beginning you can position yourself between him and the wall and force push him repeatedly until he falls in. (About three times) Don't wait to recharge your force either. I learned this when I thought time mattered...
How does it determine whether you are a Jedi Padawan , jedi novice ect.... is that based on score or time? I always get the same scores, but I have had different levels of title... thanks for your answers in advance...
MAT RANS? Who is that and where in the game do you find him?

I never get given any scores and I've completed it 5 times
