Time to dig deep into the darkest and most twisted corners of your minds people :D
This month's topic is of the Dark Side!!!

Essence of the Dark Side:

What exactly is the dark side?

How can you truly sum up what it means to be evil?

How does a person fall to the dark side and why?...

... Just a couple of things to help you see what I mean :) ...

Looking forward to reading how dark the writers of Lucasforums can be :evil2: .... :xp:

Have fun and good luck!!!!

There was an idea I had once that I think can loosely relate to the topic. I'll see if I can work on it, it can be great.

Would it be acceptable for my entry to be a continuation, or possibly a revision/rewrite, of an entry from my never-finished Diaries of a Jedi series? As I recall I never reached the point in that fic that I hope to use for this month's contest, and if it's acceptable I'd love to do so.

In answer to your question Doc:

As long as the entry has not been published before on LF or any other fanfic site then you are in the clear.

Reminder to everyone:
Check out the rule thread for the list of rules that make an acceptable entry for Javyars.

I would have to say a revision of a story would not be allowed, but if it's a previously unpublished chapter in a continuing story, that would be fine.

Does it have to be a force sensitive individual, or can they simply be dark and evil in nature?

^ I'll defer to Mr_BFA on this, but I think that being Force-sensitive is not a requirement.

Mmmk, so basically, we just have to epitomise/embody/exemplify evil and darkness in some way. I'm ready to go. :P

Whatever you get out of the prompt Addy. Heck you can go as deep as you want to with darkness.

Well, I guess this'll be my first time entering. Those of you in my RP series will recognise the character.

Okay, so yesterday I submitted my first ever fan-fic. In all honesty it wasn't really connected to Star Wars, nor was it much of a story. But yeh, it embodies my view of the darkside. :) Would that count or does it have to be a story, with a character and such?

It has to have some kind of connection to Star Wars. It doesn't have to be a major connection, but it has to be related somehow.

Oh god . . . I already submitted it. Geez, I sure hope I did include a connection somewhere . . . damn thats a stupid mistake of me to make. I think I included one . . . I think . . .

Maybe it's a stupid question, but I just want to be sure before I submit anything - are there any specific instructions/rules when it comes to submitting an art entry, or should I just make a normal thread here and put an "Other" prefix?

yo, can i just point out that the last javyar's contest was a draw between my and mr_bfa and i simply abdicated responsiblity for the topic-choosing (with conditions... :xp: ). so can i have one of those neat little badges aswell? :D

Put any badge requests in the badge thread in the forum feedback section of the main forum board, or PM one of us staffers, instead of posting here. I didn't see this at all (since it's off-topic for this thread) until I checked and saw there were what I thought were questions about this month's contest. --Jae

My submission isn't so much a fic in itself, as much as a retelling of my alternate star Wars future from the point of view of a prominent Sith Lord. Does that still work?
