I'm just curious to know if they've released whats in the demo. If they haven't, then what do you want in it?

They haven't released any information yet. Once I find out, and am allowed to publish the info, I will.

All I expect is a small single player campaign that walks us throught the ins and outs of the game and a few skirmish maps.

A skirmish map (both ground and space) and multiplayer option. I don't know how they can insert small campaign, since this would mean to add a semi-disabled galactic map, which might make the size of the demo extremely big to download.

I would think the same as Athanasios on this one mainly because, they want as many people to download and see how EaW is without having any problems right.

I think so too. Perhaps the tutorial section(I guess this is what aggie referred too), if there is one, but surely not a full campaign part.
I expect a few skirmish maps for both Single and Multiplayer.

I'd expect some Skirmish maps for the demo.

skirmish maps if we're lucky, but somehow I can imagine it being more like what Gamespot got. A very controled and basic look at the units and probably just from one side too. Demos seems to be moving towards that for the most part.
Although there are the occasional demos that allow enough of the game to be played that they are still in use 2-3 years after the game has come out (Wake Island demo for BF is one example). I don't expect this to be one of those demos. I expect they'll limit it enough to give away maybe 2-3 battles and only one side.

Truthfully, I don't care. As long as I can have huge battles, and manage the economy and armies; I'll be happy.

I'm just going to wait and see what the demo will hold. All I hope for is that it is decent....=)

Most games lately have a skirmish mission with online possibilities. And aren't that large...

I suspect they will include one tutorial mission, and maybe two skirmish maps. Although the skirmish maps and tutorial will have a limited tech tree, so you cant expierence the total game.

Yeah I am thinking a campaign kind of like the tutorial from RTW, where its a small map with two or three planets, just so they can walk us throught the moving of fleets and building of ships and troops on the galatic level.

Most likely a tutorial sort of thing. or 2 of skirmish map where one for space and the other for ground.
But we can always have high hopes right? Just imagine you are controlling the rebel space force with a small fleet of MonCals. Your mission is to intercept a normal routine of empire patrol group, then your ship detect an object coming out of hyperspace and suddenly the screen is filled by a huge Super Stardestroyer, and start lunching endless wave of Tie/Int......
Who knows, it might just happen.

...and then the SSD Executor and an Eclipse SSD comes out making all the players want to play imps, but, all of sudden, those moving ducks become dust from some super-hypervelocity weapons fired by the rebel base from the nearby planet.................well, it would make everyone buy this game :smash:

Probably a tutorial-ish battle, or a set of tutorials, and a skirmish map, like the Total War demos.

maybe not, if u look at the Gamespot movie there where 9 or 10 planets. And if some features are locked it wont be much.

Gamespot was an interview, something more than a demo....or maybe not.

Yea that version from the interview was maybe a little bit more demo, but it was playable for crowd of the G.A.M.E. so it could be a demo.
