I don't want to put restrictions on the sabers to the certain prestige class that they represent, because lots of people will want to use a combination of the sabers, but rest assured you wont get any of the sabers easily ;)

Ohhh... Pretty! I can't help but notice that the weaponmaster saber looks a bit fimiliar, unless I'm mistaken. Didn't you make a similar one for Kotor?

Yup, the Weapon Master saber is ported over from KotOR, but this time all the saber color crystals work in all variations of the sabers a.k.a. short, regular, double. Sorry if you wanted something new, but that saber was one of my favorites that I made so I had to port it over. ;)

I have to say for a green colored saber I like the weaponmaster one the best as well.

Okay this is a very important question/poll, I know everyone here wants mods to be compatible with each other, especially in the .2da file area. Anyway to the point, I just want to know if you all would like me to update my itemcreate/mira.2da to be compatible with this mod (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=144996) right now I am really leaning towards not making my itemcreate/mira.2da file compatible with that mod because of 2 main reasons.

1.) That mod makes in my opinion a rather large change, making several items createable that weren't there to start with, and items that you can get naturally in the game, without having to create them.

2.) Personally I think that if you were looking to create an item that you could find in the game naturally just because you don't have it, you might as well use KSE to put the item in the game, and it is very easy to swap these .2da file so you could just plug in whichever one you want to use at a certain time.

However, if enough of you really want me to then I suppose I'll make my mod compatible with that mod. Just let me know what you think.

Hey Mav as much as my preference is for compatibility I am going to cast my vote for not for just the reasons you posted. However I haven't checked it yet but I do not believe he made it compatible with the existing mods that have made use of those 2da's. I suppose if your nice you could do to sets of 2da files one compatible with that mod and one that is not. It would do 2 things it would keep those who wanted it compatible happy and it would keep those who didn't want it compatible happy.

that is a possibility, personally I didn't look extensively into the mod, judging by the author's description, it seems to add a substantial amount of items to the .2da file. Perhaps what I'll do that if I have the time before the mod is released, I'll think about it.

I say no... it completely nullifies the purpose of the random item drop scripts in the game... finding a good items makes you feel lucky... I like that...

While I have no problem with Robes and Lightsabers buildable at the WB, being able to build the rest of the items at the WB is counter-productive.

Just my 2 cents! :D

I completely agree, every time I play I'll find an item I didn't know existed, and that I find exiciting. However, if enough people want I'll make two sets of .2da files, but since these files aren't that complicated I feel that people if they really want something to be createable they can do it themselves, but the mod is compatible with the following thus far.

upcrystals.2da:
Xcom's single-handed doublebladed sabers
Darkkenders Guardian sabers
RedHawke's exile item pack sabers

upgrade.2da:
Envida's complete mod set
RedHawke's Exile Item pack

Small Update

Here is a little taste of the Robe Textures for the Prestiege Class Robes...

First up the Jedi Weapon Masters Armored Robes (Male and Female)

Note the Bandon / Sith Master model being used instead of the Jal Shey Model for the Males... and no appearance.2da hassles for installation either. :D

I saw Darth Bandon from KOTOR as the epitome of the Sith Marauder class, so that is why I wanted to use his as a base for the Sith Marauder class, though I did darken the leg and arm cloth parts.

I based the texture for these loosely off of Qui-Gon Jinn's robe color scheme. Qui-Gon Jinn being the "model" of a modern Jedi Master.

Check out those screens guys and just stare at them in awe ;), i must say again great job RedHawke.

Just a quick update, we have most everything "made" already and are working on testing them in-game and the in-game placement of the items and I will be slightly upgrading the stats of my items to accomodate the new Hardcore mod ;)

I'm sure you all can't wait, oh and if I have time I will make two seperate versions of compatibility with the itemcreate.2da files, again if I have time.

Dude, using Bandon's armor as the Marauder/Weapon Master's robes is simply awesome!

If Bandon's armor skirt was closed on the back it would be better I think, But that can't be done I assume. :(

Making the "skirt" closed in the back, is at the time an impossibility, because it would require changing the model for Bandon's armor and we can't do that until cchargin cracks the TSL model which he'll do after he finishes playing the game so we can't close the skirt, but it still looks awesome to me, and huge thanks goes out to svцsh, who let RedHawke adapt his original texture for Bandon's armor.

Those are some great skins RedHawke. I'm deffinetly going to keep an eye out for this mod. It also apears we have a similar choice in at least two of the heads you used to model these great robes.

okay, i've just had a quick read (took me 30 minutes) i thought i'd read the whole thread so i would know what EXCATLY was happening, and i will say this, love the hilt, love the Project Prestige idea! i wish you two the best of luck, and i can't wait to see all the other amazing thing holowan modders create next!!

I don't really like the saber textures (no offense meant, you did a great job, more than I could ever do I just like the ones in game better) but the Robes are avesome, any chance you'll be releasing them in a seperate pack? (then again I could always just install that part when you release the mod) Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your stuff.


Oh and a bit offtopic, has anyone made bandon's robe for tsl yet, I could use those...

I just have 2 questions:
1st: will it be compatible with RedHawke's Exile Pack?
2nd: would it be possible to make the Sith Lord blade a bit darker? I don't know... more red and more black... well it's good as it is I'm jsut being honest. :)

Well you can always use My Exile's Sabers instead... and add the sweet upgrades and such Maverick made to them... just an idea! ;)

i really like the whole idea. and i love the reskin of the robes. but (yea, there was supposed to be a bit _but_ lol ) i dont like the colors of the sabers as well. iґm too much into the movie feelin while playin it and that means a white core for the saber, no choice :D

Well, I guess it's nice to get replies, although it would've made my job easier if I got them a few days agao when I posted them, but I *think* that I posted somewhere, but it might have been a PM or something, but I think that I said that I was going to include the game's blade textures in the pack. So to those of you, whom I new would exist :rolleyes: prefer the game's hilt textures and/or blade textures, I will be including them in the pack as a side option for installation, i.e. a folder in the mod will be designated "Saber Game Textures" and I will put the game saber color textures renamed and the game hilt textures renamed, so just to clear up any confusion I was planning on doing this so don't worry if you would rather have the game textures they will be included for those who want them, the thing to remeber is I make mods for myself and them release them for you guys(and girls) to use so what I like comes first :p, so don't worry you can have my sabers without the custom textures. ;)

Just to answer a few direct questions now.

@ Ellderon

I think that in theory your idea to have the crossguards open and close with the sabers openig and closing is a neat idea, I don't think it is possibly, because even in KotOR 1 where we can create new saber models we can't create new animation and the opening and closing of the crossguards would be a new animation I believe.

@ Uchiha Itachi

As RedHawke said it is compatible with his mods and if you look at the post directly above RedHawke's "picture posts" I noted all of the compatibilities ;)

As for the Sith Lord color request, I'm too far into the mod to be able to do this without affecting the other sith sabers because they all use the same blade texture, and the Sith Assassin and Sith Lord sabers use the same model file to cut down on teh .mdl and .mdx files needed, but I'm curious as to what you mean by darker, do you mean the same colors, but a darker shade or different colors all together?

I can't explain right lol...
I just think that the Sith Lord blades should be kinda in a dark way like they are supposed to be.
But it is very cool as it is and I can't wait to try those sabers and robes :)
I liked a lot the Marauder Robes too bad I don't like the Marauder class :p
The items will be given specifically to the character class or all the items will be given?

I have files that will let you be able to have the regular game saber textures, so you don't need to tinker with the mod, just relax and wait ;)

Okay I see what you mean with the color now, you just thought the Sith Lord saber should be darker, but I can't edit that right now because we are way too far into the development of the mod to go back and change all the files, normally I would just have to go back and edit the blade texture file, but in this case, in order to have less overall files the Sith Lord and Sith Assassin use the same model file so changing one would casue the other to change, so unfortunately its too late to change, had I been asked that a week ago or so when I posted the first screens I could have done it, but righ tnow it is too late, sorry.

As far as getting the items in-game, I believe we are planning it so that you recieve your class equipment when you get your prestige class, however I don't know if we are going to make all of the class items avaliable in one game, I do know however that as it is right now the robes are class restricted and the sabers are not.

No...

The thicker robes denote the presence of padding/armor, this is because the Sith Assassin's go into combat more, hence they need more protection, hence the thicker flat black robes. Once unmasked from stealth the intimidating look of the Assassin in these robes also helps to demoralize an opponent. ;)

Sith Lords only need to look cool whilst frying you with lightning from a distance, so that is why they have the thinner robes... also note that the shiny parts would give away your position if you gave the Sith Lord robe to the stealthy Assassin... that is counter productive IMHO. :D

But, like with all mods, you can alter whatever you want on your end so edit to your taste when you download it, and change them around if you want. ;)

Are you going to do a recruit mod for TSL eventually? The Recruit Redhawke mod was one of my favorites for KOTOR I.

And the robes for this one look awsome so far...

I presonally can't stand most of the Jedi Armours... I think the Skirt at the back look kind of silly. Nice to have an AWSOME lookig alternative on the way.
