I just started mapping, so I don't know if this is causing the problem, but do you have your .map file in the folder called 'maps'? The maps folder is in the 'base' folder. The bsp program needs your map to be in that folder, otherwise it won't work...  [Read More]

Does anyone know how to rotate a model in JK2Radiant? For instance, if I wanted to rotate a tree around. I'm in the middle of making a great map, but need to know this. Any help would be greatly appreciated :D Thanks....  [Read More]

I think he means the overall size of the map, and to answer your question, make a map as big (or small :)) as you want (although I guess there is a limit)....  [Read More]

I like it, nice design. Good job. P.S I like the statues in the last picture. I noticed one of them looks like it's turned in a different direction then the other, could you possibly tell me how to do that? I can't seem to be able to rotate models....  [Read More]

Hehe, yeah, it's always a good idea to lay down the basic size formation, then compile and play try the map, to make sure it's as big as you want it, *then* add all the details. :)...  [Read More]

I don't know why you posted this under mapping/levels, but I'll answer anyway. Bring up the console by holding shift then pressing the ~ key. Then if you want to bind taunt to the f1 key for example, type this in the console: bind f1 +taunt...  [Read More]

Thank you VERY much. But where might I get these updated tools? Also, will the MP map be backwards compatible? In other words, can I play it in single player too? Again, thanks a ton....  [Read More]

I've made a few maps, and they work fine in single player, but when I try to load them up in multi-player, it says the file cannot be found, etc. Does anyone know if you have to 'flip a switch' so to speak, before you start making a map, to get it t...  [Read More]
When you compile your map, where is the .map file located? In your 'base' folder, under maps? That is where it should be. If it isn't in there, find it and copy it to the maps folder, then the bsp program should work. It will create a .bsp file alon...  [Read More]

If I'm correct, I don't think you can edit the maps that came with the game. But with JK2Radiant you should have got two maps, named kejim_post (the first mission in the game) and ctf_bespin. Those should, by default, be in your maps folder. I tried...  [Read More]

Tigris, I did what you said, and loaded the map up in-game, but there's still a problem. I can see the tree, but when I run up to it I hit an invisible wall. I might not have explained it well, and it may not make any difference, but in the 3d view...  [Read More]

I've been trying to get models (like trees) to work properly, but I either don't know what I'm doing or there is a bug with JK2Radiant. The problem is this: I make a map with a few trees, then boot up the map in-game. Great, I say, only the trees ha...  [Read More]
