I'm not a modder, but the answer to your second question, if I recall correctly, is the KotOR Savegame Editor....  [Read More]

I spent the last seven hours creating skins for new Republic armor(class 8/7 armor models), then decided that replacing the Republic armor in the game would be counter to lore, and couldn't bring myself, as insufficient as the protection it probably...  [Read More]

I would really love to see this done. With all the great mods everyone has, seeing weapons holstered would complete this game. I haven't played either of the games since last year, so I'm not certain whether this pertains to both or just one of them...  [Read More]

Yes sir, that should be exactly what you do, though I've never tried myself. Their armor looks too light and bare - maybe a sizable blaster for each one of them will push them up the manliness scale. :P Right, but the helmet isn't an item, it's ac...  [Read More]

Thanks, Dak. I'm very much a lore guy, so changing what armor Republic soldiers wear is a much harder decision than it would seem, since it pretty much mutilates what they wear according to canon. Damn BioWare and their weird uniforms. :( Minor chang...  [Read More]

I've been thinking about replacing the default armor Republic soldiers wear in KotOR with a heavy suit of armor (one that's in the game already - texture changes come later). They've always seemed fairly wimpy, if you will, in the puzzlingly light pr...  [Read More]

Thing is, I'm clueless when it comes to 3D modeling, but I don't think you actually need permission to alter stuff for personal use, do you? I thought it was only for further distribution/changing for distribution? You should try experimenting with i...  [Read More]

Kael'thas Solo, so I just stick my item into the Override folder, and dump the texture file into it, too? How does the game associate them, though? It's supposed to be a new item, I'm not overwriting an older one. How will it know to associate? This...  [Read More]

After reading around, I realize that what I'm asking for is pretty high-end work, and nobody so far has been willing/skillful enough to try it, so I'll veer away from that. I downloaded all the modding tools, and using KoTOR Tool, I extracted a robe...  [Read More]

I'm very new to all of this modding business, so I'll mostly stay away from it until I've read enough, but I'm curious about a few things I'd like for my game, and I was hoping you guys could help me with that. 1) I'm assuming that The Sith Lords-st...  [Read More]
