Yes, I am saying some things are okay and not others. Cosmetic items do not unbalance game play whereas powerful weapons, armor, etc..can and would do so. I would offer up Star Trek Online as an example once again. Cryptics offerings for STO have bee...  [Read More]

Well..I will say this, I don't know about the "vast majority" that you speak of, but I have no problem with microtransactions. If EA/Bioware wants to toss in costumes, or races or whatever then so be it, it won't bother me one bit....  [Read More]

If they're going to start charging you extra for items, they better lower or remove the monthly fee, since obviously that monthly fee just ain't cutting it for them. Good luck with that...see my post above regarding the Xbox Live Marketplace. microt...  [Read More]

Star Trek Online (which I currently play) is from publisher Cryptic and seems to be doing fairly well with the monthly fee + microtransactions. The game itself has its downfalls but that is neither here nor there. The microtransactions that Cryptic...  [Read More]

I enjoyed reading this piece Writer. I think you nicely presented your main character while at the same time keeping a little bit of mystery involved to make the reader want to find the answer to the question of why he was doing what he was doing. T...  [Read More]

Mach as I always do I enjoyed your piece. The twist of Moran being Sela's father was a good one and the name of the ship sounds like it fits her profile. I honestly though Sela was going to kill him so the fact that she decided to join him came as a...  [Read More]

Delays happen IMO...and I don't see this game getting delayed into oblivion as has happened to others *cough* duke nukem *cough* Let Bioware and LA take their time as far as I'm concerned. Bioware just hit a home run with Mass Effect 2 so we know w...  [Read More]

If it was Mossad there will likely never be any solid proof unless of course Mossad wishes there to be. The same goes for the CIA former KGB or any other intelligence agency operating in a foreign country. I would fully imagine that the "hit sq...  [Read More]

I'm glad they included Taris but something kinda strikes me as odd. The Republic was starting to rebuild things in KOTOR 2..and in 300 years they've done this little with Taris? Maybe there's more to it than the video showed or maybe I missed somethi...  [Read More]

Virtually all presidential speeches are...canned in some form. The days of presidents writing their own speeches are long gone. They have speech writers, and I'm not even sure how much input the presidents provide beyond what they want to focus on....  [Read More]

Pretty funny, but in my experience doing public speaking there were days where I wished for a teleprompter. I don't blame him for using it...but he could try to make it look a little less obvious....  [Read More]

It does seem like the Israelis are being a bit stubborn. I did not read the full text of the UN report, but if what the story says is right then all they were asking was for Israel to conduct and investigation and review the events surrounding the ac...  [Read More]

J7 I think you just managed to say what I was thinking, but couldn't come with the words to express it. The situation in the U.S. for many prostitutes is likely very similar to the experience of your friend. I would very much like to see these women...  [Read More]

Sure, infidelity is the sign of a troubled marriage, but having a legal brothel in town just makes it easier for someone to commit adultery. Why make it easier to do that by legalizing prostitution? That's equivalent to taking an alcoholic to a bar....  [Read More]

There definitely valid points on both sides of this debate. Prostitution is a profession that many find distasteful which probably contributed to it being made illegal yet it still remains despite that fact. There is no doubt that illegal prostitut...  [Read More]

I've always wavered on the drug thing because they have so many detrimental effects. I understand that, like prostitution, there will always be drug users and I understand the ability to generate government revenue as well, but I don't believe that d...  [Read More]

Really the only example here in the States would be in Nevada where the industry is heavily regulated, all workers are subject to weekly checks for STD's, condoms are mandatory, and it is confined to licensed brothels. I don't really see an issue w...  [Read More]
