The tractor beams are not used because they were not out to capture them, but to destroy them. And how do you destroy a fighter? You shoot it down. :) And the tractor beams does not work too well so close to the station once they were on the surf...  [Read More]

Well, if you look at it that way, then the Imperial Star Destroyers in the movies can't be 1,600 meters long. :) Scratch that, that was weak. :D You can actually calculate to around that size from the movies, even though it has never been mentioned...  [Read More]
