Luke is one of the more competent posters in these forums in my opinion, (and I miss your "Italian Goddess" picture ;) ) but anyway to the point: like Gaarni said, let's not do too much mixing of the eras. Besides, with Episode III's relea...  [Read More]

How many were there in Rebellion? And is there an official amount of planets so far? I wish it was that big... although they DID say that there would be battles near asteroid fields and nebulae, right? I guess that's pretty good too. I've heard a l...  [Read More]

Well, like I said, if the ships are travelling between planets A and B and are on a direct hit course with eachother, then it might happen. I'd like to see it happen! Honestly, I'm just trying to find a reason for them to include deep space battles b...  [Read More]

Ah, okay. I was under the impression that they were going to use just regular engines to get between planets without trade routes, I didn't know hyperspace engines could be used anywhere....  [Read More]

It definitely sounds awesome, I'm anxious to see how this will work out. The only thing is: what if two rival fleets are travelling on the same route and they run into eachother on the map? Since there's no deep space battles, what happens, they jus...  [Read More]

Well, I hope there is some kind of popular support function, but if there isn't then I'm guessing the "balance" case is that the rebels are going to have some option to withdraw buildings or their fighters are going to be insanely good (lik...  [Read More]

That's all good and everything, Jan, but the thing is we don't know if there's going to be such a thing like "popular support" in this game, much less politics or diplomacy. If you have any links where it shows there is popular support, ple...  [Read More]

Actually, if the game is supposed to be realistic, the Death Star is supposed to cost more than 3 times the resources of a rebel base like the one on Yavin. Also, at least in Rebellion, there was no way to stop the rebel starfighters from approachin...  [Read More]

We don't know how those "daring missions" will work yet, though. Don't know if it's random, don't know if you actually control what goes on, no clue. It would be nice to know... As much as I agree with you, there's only two factions in thi...  [Read More]

Umm.. has any of the "Venerator will ruin the game due to era" people noticed the large number of ACCLAMATORs from Episode 2 in screenshots? If they are in (they seemed to have been phased out by Ep3) it's fairly certain Venerators will be...  [Read More]

Personally, I hope they don't include the venetor. It would really ruin the atmosphere of the classic movies. If they include it, there must be a way to disable it, through mods and such, no?...  [Read More]

I voted TIE interceptor, it would be insane not to include this if there are A-wings. Same could be said for B-wings. As much as I'd like to see the SSD, I just wonder how they would incorporate it since it's so huge. Star Destroyers look big enough...  [Read More]

I have a few Also on the Galaxy map note, will we be able to freely travel across the galaxy to deep space sectors (ala "Twilight Imperium Third Edition?") or are we restricted to hyperspace routes? Strategically speaking, I think it would...  [Read More]

Imperials... I like "heavy" things... Star Destroyers, AT-AT's, plus I like aesthetics and the Empire really has that going for them. Online, I'd play rebels. I love ambush tactics. Oh, by the way, to the person saying that there might no...  [Read More]

I use the same strategy for every game I play, even board games like Twilight Imperium III or Squad Leader. I start out like an incredibly aggressive explorer. I try to get as much neutral territory as I can, without getting 1-2 turns within my enem...  [Read More]
