What enigma did Hoth ever have? It was never mysterious, it never had any mysteries. It was an icy hellhole with wampas and tauntauns and lots of snow. There was no enigma to shatter. At least now that it's had a huge battle in orbit in the past, tha...  [Read More]

I can say this much on the armor in TOR. I don't want any of it to have the HUGE shoulders of WoW's armor. Just look at Paladin Arena Season 8, they're more like horse blinders than shoulderguards: http://static.wowhead.com/uploads/screenshots/normal...  [Read More]

I wonder what Trooper's Advanceds would be. I'm thinking like Mass Effect and the Soldier class's sub-classes, Shock Trooper and Commando. Shock Trooper was more defensive(see Tank), Commando was more offensive(see DPS). But maybe we'll other more in...  [Read More]

Somewhere I remember reading that the advance classes for Smuggler are Gunslinger and Scoundrel. Here's where you likely read it. And in hindsight, it's pretty damn close to what Advanced Classes actually look like. http://darthhater.com/2009/12/18...  [Read More]
Well it'd be easy to make them generically cheesy bad guys. Like a stereotyped form of Palpatine with no subtlety. That's why one has to hope the story is great and preferable over gameplay....  [Read More]
But would you pick a class that has a crappy horrid story just because its gameplay is fun? Good stories are worth underwhelming gameplay, but the reverse is rarely true in games that try to make story matter....  [Read More]
I picked story, but to be honest I've decided I'll be a Trooper since they were announced. I love the Clone Troopers, and Trooper is the closest I'll get to those, so I'm rolling one. I love the idea of a regular guy who defends to Republic, so I gue...  [Read More]

I'm sure there will be space. The developers haven't said a single word on how we travel between these dozen or so worlds. They also make a habit of not mentioning anything until it's set in stone and in the game, which means their method of travelin...  [Read More]

This talk really makes me nostalgic and hoping TOR will be able to do anything resembling SWG's space. The NGE-ish-ness of the game makes me think not, but the fact that several producers and devs worked on the original, pre-NGE SWG makes me think th...  [Read More]

To be fair on the YT, it's hair to aim a turret when someone else is flying around, randomly jigging and ruining your aim and shot. I suck in turrets in both SWG and SWBF2....  [Read More]

Well I love SWG's world pvp, even the Restuss stuff, and SWG still has a ton of solo content. Like go to level cap, then form a merchant empire. Plus the best pilots in space can solo anything; I've seen guides on how to solo the Corvettes and Star D...  [Read More]

I don't mind some group content along the way and at level cap. Even I like to do some dungeons with friends for a few hours. But make sure it's not the only thing to do. Like in WoW, once you hit 80, the only thing left to do is group-heavy dungeons...  [Read More]

Even appearance changes affect gameplay though. They affect how people perceive you, and for some people that's a game unto itself, deciding a great look. It's hardly fair to we people who like to look good that we should have to pay for what we want...  [Read More]

I want all the content though. I'll raid a dungeon and then put on a nice outfit and walk around town with my pets. Why can't they sell statted gear with MT too? It has no impact on the gameplay of the minipet/costume fiends. You're assuming your gam...  [Read More]

If anyone can do the dungeons and loot the items too, it's not unbalanced is it? Either spend $20 and buy it, or do the dungeon and loot it. I'm using hyperbole to justify purchasable loot items because I don't approve of any purchasing. I'm a pet a...  [Read More]

And why stop at costumes and other cosmetic stuff? A buck is a buck, why not sell end-game loot there too? Are you going to say some things are okay to sell but not others? Sure clothing may not be a big deal to you, but it may be a big deal to other...  [Read More]

And the vast majority of subscription-based MMO customers don't want the addition of RMT, no matter how profitable it may be for the company. If we wanted to play some game where your income determines your game quality, we'd be playing one of those...  [Read More]

On the grand scale of the SW universe timeline, "slow crippling the Republic internally" has only happened........once, with Palpatine/Sidious, and that took a thousand years of waiting/planning. All other times it was all-out war. When you...  [Read More]

I like MMOs. I'm sure I'll enjoy TOR anyways, and play it for years. My complaints are mostly nitpicks anyways. Not like I'll be around the sandcrawlers non-stop, and they're just one tiny part of the big game....  [Read More]

Well I don't think that just because they made another single player game they'd instantly go back to creative again. That mentality is already in their heads. Hell, I kinda get why they're doing the "uncreative" look. They want TOR to appe...  [Read More]

I can understand the complaint of things looking way too much like the movies. I had that complaint myself. My biggest beef was how the sandcrawlers in TOR look identical to the ones from ANH and nothing like the ones from KotOR. The KotOR ones looke...  [Read More]

Agents are tied to the Empire, same as Bounty Hunters, just a fact of gameplay. With that in mind, Agent is definitely closest. Rogues are famous for stealth, which Bounty Hunters can't, and not for jetpacks, which BHs can. :P...  [Read More]
