That's fair. However, shouldn't the states be punished, rather than their people? What would that look like? Some sort of fine? Wouldn't that be paid by the taxpayer? The whole situation could have been avoided had the voting commissions simply stuc...  [Read More]
No, it isn't. But it's a bit ridiculous for the parties to have those rules in the first place.I agree that it's ridiculous that they have to have them, but have to have them they do. I'm happy they have them though because it means that it doesn't l...  [Read More]
Ah, that's a fair compromise. Only half of the people who took their time to vote actually matter. Good to know. :rolleyes:A lot of problems with that argument, but I'll only take up the most obvious of them: Is it fair to all the states that follow...  [Read More]
Of course, both Hillary and Obama agreed that they wouldn't count... All the more reason to thank Hillary for changing her story and stirring up a hornet's nest. :) Perhaps we should be debating, rather, which person will be selected for Vice-Presi...  [Read More]
Florida: All delegates will be seated with one-half vote each. Hillary picks up 19 delegates (I'm assuming that Obama picks up about 14 and Edwards 7, but I wasn't watching when that vote passed so...). Michigan: All delegates will be seated with on...  [Read More]

Link (http://youtube.com/watch?v=GEtZlR3zp4c) (YT). While I have no doubt that one or two of these snippets have probably been quoted out of context, that doesn't explain the rest that have not. Nor does it wish away the fact the foundation of McCai...  [Read More]
I’ll be glad when we get back to deciding elections the old fashion way and actually counting votes. I’m tired of mediators and judges settling elections. You mean like "never"? :) The electoral college has always decided the Pr...  [Read More]
I assume we'll have a new thread as soon as a decision is reached, yes? It's possible. A lot could be determined today. I'm a bit excited. Me too :)...  [Read More]
^^^^ I guess we'll know more after today's Rules and Bylaws Committee meeting. If by some miracle everything goes in her favor, we might still be left with a convention fight in August. If any reasonable agreement is made, then we might be able to h...  [Read More]

My rebuttal to this, however, is that the popular perception is going to be almost always formed by the mass media, which is no longer center, but left of center. (Debate for another time) And, since most people get their perceptions from this, it me...  [Read More]

I want to beleive that something will change if I vote (come 2012) but I honestly can't beleive that until all this government idiocy ends. The idiocy won't end until enough voters decide that they've had enough. So long as the masses stay home on ele...  [Read More]

Teach people personal responsibilityWho needs to do this? The government? If so, how is that not "a nanny-state"? Maybe you're suggesting a "tough-love" approach, but I would argue that that's still a nanny-state. I'm all for a...  [Read More]

Yes, the democrats are just as much to blame for the partisanship. I would not see things getting better under Hillary Clinton, but Obama has said he will work with the Republican. Yep and considering his track record of doing precisely that, I'd be...  [Read More]

Try this step 2 instead: 2) Select "Star Wars: KOTOR (1280x960 interface)" from the drop-down. I checked my settings and that's what I have. It may be that the smaller setting with the larger HUD is causing the clipping. I hope that helps....  [Read More]

UniWS won't let you get 1280x800 (KotOR freezes when you try to run this resolution). 1440x900 is a nearly identical substitute that doesn't cause the game to choke and die when you want to run it. 1) Download and run UniWS 2) Select "Star Wars...  [Read More]
