I am so relieved that I solved my texture problems. Note to beginners like me: make a map and save it in the "base/maps" folder. That helps . . .

Here are some screenshots of the stuff I have done so far.

Inside shot of a prison cell.

The facility open room. Lacking some crates though.

Just a wall.

Some doors.

Some words of wisdom:
- Never give up. Keep thinking about solving your problems.
- Don't rely on anyone except you.

This is a ____ facility...? Looks like you're off to a good start.

Yeah. after solving a number of problems (there are still some) I actually got the thing compiled and a few screenshots in. I just named it "Facility", because I have no more clue what it is yet. It is part of an SP level, so it has some importance. :fett:

Yes, your map does indeed seem to have a good start. I'm, however, a little concerned about this lack of better description:

I just named it "Facility", because I have no more clue what it is yet

It seems to me, that you don't have a good plot. That's highly negative for any SP project. Pretty graphics are just not quite enough. But I hope you'll correct me in this respect.

I had a plot  . Here it is . . . .

Corrupted Paths: A Prelude to Jedi Knight

Kyle Katarn soon would have been meeting the infamous information broker 8t88. They have mutual reasons for meeting, but an intelligence/mercenary squad known as the Bhysve'il (employed by a faction of the ill Bothan Qopr Ne) have caused some disruption. Not long after Katarn landed in Nar Shaadaa he was seized by a Bhysve'il squad. There intention was to interrogate him to learn of 8t88's connections in the city, other major powers in the city, and even use him as a probe for valuable espionage.

Katarn is being taken to an interrogation room where he will under go several experiments and tests. His escort, a large humanoid, could smash Katarn with hands alone but is carrying a stun baton just in case. The escort did leave a loaded blaster on the table . . .

Plot is open to change. :deathii:

Well, thank you. I hope some more people post, but that won't happen. There is a major gap in the ratio of viewers to posters.

Fixed. :)

My suggestions:
1) Redo the bench in the prison cell, it is no offense bad right now.
2) Put a screenshot's description before, not after, the pic.

About the bench, it isn't supposed to be much. Actually, I don't even know why I posted that screenshot. It isn't worth bothering to deal with.

Concerning the plot I haven't been able to find something that would interfere with it from the EU. The plot is just made not too long before Katarn's meeting with 8t88. I made the plot up.

Will update with some new screens soon. Maybe later today. :c3po:

One side of the big room. I have to tone down the lighting though.

It's a really a great start, it's pleasing to look at and fits well.

My only suggestion is that you turn your texture detail up to Very High for taking screenshots.

Yeah, better turn up the display settings. I guess the first 4 pics are no longer available, but I could care less. There isn't much to see.
