I'm planning on making some kind of level/mod for JK2 that takes place in a tropical setting were you have to fight dinosuars etc. and I wanted to get some idea of what games are out there before I start making textures.

Well he just needed textures from it ^.^ And it gives you a pretty nice idea on how to do a tropical setting. (and on how NOT to make a fully interactive world.. and a control system.. )

Is Tresspasser the Jurassic Park game?

I'd love to see a game where you get to play as a dinosaur.

It's a hunting game, but instead of dear and mammals you hunt dinosaurs and prehistotic beasts. :)

Raptor Red (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0553575619/qid=1015633643/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-9657632-5392133) is one of the coolest books there is. Written by Rob Bakker, who served as a consultant on the first Jurassic Park movie.

You've seen Disney's Dinosaur? Well, this is like the PG-13 version. The lead character is a female velociraptor ("Red"), and she's better developed than some human characters I've read, yet without being anthropomorphized.

(BTW Bakker is more than just a JP consultant...he's a top paleontologist...)
