Thats what the Land of the Living looks like, its only used there because thats the only scene where you see the land of the living. I thought it was very clever to have such a stark contrast in visual style to the Land of the Dead.
I wish there was more of the Land of the Living though... it's a bit like the Carnival in COMI, it only got one screen and I wanted to wander around more!

Grim Fandango: "Hнjole, I'm gonna miss the poisoning!" Actually, no, it's the Ode to the Moon.
Indy Infernal Machine: I still have a soft spot in my heart for this game. The Meroe is just incredible. Indy pulls up in his jeep, and you can see practically the entire level! (sort of, it's hidden beneath pyramids and sand a bit)
EFMI: Me, cheering and clapping loudly when I saw Murray again. Otherwise it's the 'Use' and 'Pick Up' commands when performed on Elaine. Or the Jump Off Cliff command. Or the Wedding Gifts sequence. Or "I bet you can't hit that guy over there". Or "You want to see a move? Here's a move!"
