I was creating a new set of armour on the base of a_light_04 [mandalorian combat suit]

I named it a_light_x and loaded the xml of alien mandalorian 01, so it could use the mandalorian neo crusader armour,

I extracted to blue mandalorian neo crusader texture and reskinned it green, I also extracted an icon ot use for my armour.

But, when i put the files in my override folder, load up the game and try cheating to get my armour, it isn't there.

What am I doing wrong?

[I've already named all the files a_light_x]

Be sure that, in the uti file, you have the box next to "Template ResRef" named a_light_x. And the box next to "Tag" named a_light_x. It's the only thing I can think of that will cause this problem. :)

Well, did you save it as .utc extension or did you just save it as a_light_x. Either way is wrong. What you need to do is go back and recreate the file and save it as a_light_x.uti (with the extension mind you, because otherwise it'll end up as just a "file" and it won't do anything). Because that .utc extension is for creating new characters and the .uti extension is for making new items. (:

there is only 1 file, but it doesn't have a .utc/uti extension

edit: I renamed the file a_light_x.uti, still didn't work

Then that's the problem. Go back and remake your file (which shouldn't take that long since you loaded the xml of another armor) and then save it as a_light_x.uti

New game didn't work either. Couldn't be conflict with other mods could it?

Well I just quickly made a file similar to what you wanted and I got it in the game (not through the cheat bar, I placed it on a placeable (Kreia's corpse in the morgue on Peragus) but I still got it). Though I didn't reskin it ><

could the problem be the fact that im using the xml file of mandalorian neo crusader armour that I downloaded?

How would I go about turning the model for mandalorian neo crusader armour into a model/xml usable for armour?
