Of all the types of sports in the world I think that Football and Basketball are the most popular of all of them, but let me know which one is really you’re favorite or if you have another type of sport that you considerate the best sport.

Baseball added for great justice.

I am not really sure what my favorite is as I get into each of my favorite sports when their season rolls around. I would say when I played sports in high school I enjoyed playing basketball the most, but I was best at football. I really enjoy watching baseball though. So one of those 3! :p

I can't stand most professional sports, though I do watch real Football when I get the chance (ManU all the way). I loathe hockey with every fibre of my being, and I hate that everyone else in my country (Canada) goes nuts over the stupid, idiotic game. T_T

I don't like any of the major sports out there, but I'm into a lot of obscure and minor things, such as biking, archery, billiards (That's right, I'm a hustla), and bowling.

Football for great justice!

Well, I only watch during the world cups and I watch cricket during the IPL, but yeah, that's pretty much my only connection to sports.

So you play professional football? Certainly not. :p I don't play football anymore, mind you. I only played in youth competitions, and certainly not on any high level. We did play Cercle Bruges a couple of times (second best football team of Bruges - though some would contest that :)), but nothing more exciting than that.

A very limited list. How come volleyball is not even on the list? :carms:

Anyway, I'm an actual football fan, but I'm far from being a genius player by brazillian standards. I'm a much better volleyball player.

Rugby (If you think American Football is rough, you need to watch Rugby)

Wow, I'm not impressed.

What's the difference between it and a fighting sport besides the number of players and the existence of a ball? Seriously, I would go for jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai or tae kwon do any time if I wanted to takedown people.

I disagree. Football is the word given to a number of similar team sports, all of which involve (to varying degrees) kicking a ball with the foot in an attempt to score a goal. The most popular of these sports worldwide is association football, also known as "soccer" and most commonly just "football". Wiki is god.
