OK,Hi everyone,I got forced(by constant messages to make a WIP at LF:xp:)by E-Varmint to post it here.So here it goes.I have made a Bastila clothing variant which you will see in the screenshot below,I just made it today so it needs lot of work.I am open to your ideas what to do with this skin I really need ideas so I can work on it,I have something in mind but let see what you all want. Also I think I saw something familiar like my mod at pcgamemods if someone can tell me that there is no danger of Plagiarism I can continue my work. And if I am get this mod done then Bastila's fans are going to love this one(I hope so).
Here are the screenshots:

OK,Hi everyone,I got forced(by constant messages to make a WIP at LF:xp:)by E-Varmint to post it here......

I like it as-is. And it is much better than the clothing I am making, hence the encouragement to post. Seriously, this is good work, LR.

I very much doubt that there is any issue with plagiarism. You clearly made it yourself, so don't worry if it resembles some other outfit. After all, there are only so many possible variations on clothing, and there are scads of modders. Things are bound to overlap.

Hey, LR. Maybe you can do a small request for me. Make it a different file name, of course.

Take the Mandalorian font, make a letter in cpt, make it semi-transparent, and give her a tasteful tattoo. Maybe on the lower back. Call it the Biker Bastila outfit.

You mean something like this.Wasn't this fast:bow::nod:,oh do translate it.One of them is in correct angel, also all words are not visible. If you want some thing like this tell me.BTW,the thing I wrote was bikers death and it showed only bike or biker of bikers and the death part got blocked as seen under it.http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f49/LordRevan999/Bastillamandoalphabets.jpg)

Yours looks good, though. I'll look for a small clipart that I can cut in half, then send it to you to add where the eagle is in mine.:D

Excellent tattoo, and excellent updates, LR! I like the idea of the additional variant.

I was toying around with the idea of adding this below TG's design:
http://www.e-varmint.net/Basilatat.png)
But I'm not sure......

If you want to try, here it is in .cpt, .psd, and .png:

http://www.e-varmint.net/Bast045.zip)

If you do try it, make it fairly transparent so it looks like it's been there a while......

ps: Anyone else is welcome to snatch this for use in armor or something:D

Naked mods arent allowed on this forum or on many Kotor mod sites. Its against the rules. There was this huge debate about it a few months ago

Um, no. This has been argued back and forth forever.

It would violate forum rules (and KFiles' rules too, I think).

Plus.... really? Pixelated nudity?

I think he was just talking about a skin colored variant.

I personally like the red, the grey/blue, the beige and the green/blue. I'm not so keen on the gold, it's a little...tacky and yellow for my taste.

If I am guessing right then you should know that I am not making these variants only reskins these will be wearable as new items. So basically I am not replacing the original clothes of bastilla.

Sorry. :o

What I would like is the non tan-brown areas to be a forest green color and the texture to be solid like the circled area on her right breast.

I'd like all of the green areas of her clothing to look like her right arm (left as you are looking at it) expect more natural (the shading, ex cetera).

Alright LR999, you asked me to check out your clothing variants, and I'm gonna try to pass on a few of my tricks for you :D. I like that you've got so much enthusiasm and energy to make some mods. With a few new tricks, your skins will be stellar.

First up, in the arms and legs where you have replaced the simple tan for some really cool textures: right now they look kinda flat. Usually what I do is to copy the original folds, shadows & highlights onto a new photoshop layer. Then I desaturate it to grey, and change the layer to multiply or overlay. Then I adjust the levels of that shadow layer, so that there is more contrast (move the dark and light sliders towards the center). This will retain the 3D look on those areas. http://i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq351/redrob41/Tut-Bastila-1.jpg).

Some of the textures you've used are really cool. The ones that work the best are the earthy tones and the neutral greys (like the chain mail), because they are analogous to the warm (red-ish) brown leather. The bright colours don't work as well (the greens especially) because they compete with the leather (which is more subdued). One way to fix this is to change the leather from a red-ish colour to a matching colour (like the green).

Second, I almost never use the Hue/Saturation feature to change the colour of something. It tends to make the texture look like plastic, with very little variation in colour. Instead, I like to use the Match Color adjustment. The easiest way is to use it is to have the area you want to change the color of, on its own layer. Then have another photo open in photoshop that you want to change the colour to, and put a selection marquee (marching ants) around the area you want to use. In the first image, select the layer you want to change, open the Match Color, and play with the sliders. http://i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq351/redrob41/Tut-Bastila-2.jpg). I think that this usually gives you some fairly natural results.

Another way to change colour is to use the Layer Adjustment-> Color Balance because you can change the highlights separately from the shadows. http://i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq351/redrob41/Tut-Bastila-3.jpg). With these two re-colouring methods, I usually avoid the plastic look, and keep more colour variation in the details.

Third, what I do when I want to make an area look like skin, is either draw the highlights and shadows of the muscles myself, or copy them from one of the underwear textures. You could probably do this for Bastila's stomach and legs, but her arms are a little too blocky (puffy sleaves). I do like how you put the fishnets on them though.

I hope these 3 tricks help you out. The best thing to do is play around and try new things. I've got a lot of faith in you LR999, you'll put out some really great variants. ;)

LordRevan999 asked me to make a more detailed tutorial. While I'm doing that, here are some general tutorials about the Match Color adjustment that I found on the web. The first 3 are video, and the last link is text & image.
Fairly detailed: http://www.photoshopsupport.com/tutorials/tt-cs2/match-color-tutorial.html)
This one is short: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/854726/photoshop_match_color_simple_and_amazing_results/)
I never used it this way before, but it works: http://www.vimeo.com/1525964)
This is just a neat idea: http://www.unfocusedbrain.com/projects/match_color/)

I'll work on a tutorial that specificly uses KotOR images. Hopefully it'll be ready in a couple of days.
